Seofon and Tweyen are two new playable characters added in the big April update for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and they offer two completely distinct playstyles for players to master. They are also the first free DLC characters to be added to the game, bumping up the playable character roster count from 18 to 20.
Unlike the rest of the base GBF: Relink characters, unlocking Seofon and Tweyen is going to involve a bit of work. There are two ways to get the necessary materials for them, each offering different levels of challenge. Here's what you need to do to get these characters.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink — How to Get Dalia Badges
Some of the best items in Granblue Fantasy: Relink can only be bought using Silver and Gold Dalia Badges. Here's how to get some.
How To Get Seofon and Tweyen in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
To unlock either Seofon or Tweyen in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, you need to get Special Crewmate Cards. These are different from the base GBF: Relink Crewmate Cards in the sense that they are only for unlocking specific characters. To get these cards, you need to obtain Revenant Medallions and trade them in at Siero's shop for Supreme Weapon Essences. One Special Crewmate Card requires three Supreme Weapon Essences, and each Supreme Weapon Essence needs 30 Revenant Medallions. In total, you'll need 90 medallions to unlock one character.
In summary, here's what you need to do:
- Collect Revenant Medallions from quests.
- Trade Revenant Medallions for Supreme Weapon Essences at Siero's shop.
- Purchase the Special Crewmate Cards from Siero's shop.
- Unlock the new characters from the Crewmate Card screen, which is also in Siero's shop.
How to Get Revenant Medallions
The GBF: Relink 1.2.0 update also added two quests: Gulp...So These Are The Rumored Monsters (Extreme) and Lock Horns (Proud). The first one is a timed quest similar where you need to defeat as many Ahriman monsters as possible until the mission ends. The second one is a boss fight against the new Behemoth monster. You can get up to two Revenant Medallions in the first quest, and up to 10 Medallions in the second quest, depending on your luck and how well you play.
If the quests aren't in the Quest Counter, then you may have to finish other quests first.
The Ahriman horde quest is fairly easy, though you'll need a well-built team if you want to knock out all three sub-objectives. This quest is an excellent source of Fortitude Crystals, so if you're out of upgrade materials, farming this mission is a great way to get two birds with one stone.
Meanwhile, the Behemoth fight can be a little rough, but it's nothing that anyone can't handle given enough practice. Playing GBF: Relink online with friends or strangers will make farming anything much faster and easier.
