The Grandcypher's crew is more than capable of handling themselves in a pinch. However, combat encounters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink will gradually get harder as the game progresses, which means you'll need to get your hands on some upgrades to keep up with everything else.
New JRPG Is Off to an Incredibly Strong Start on Steam
A brand-new action JRPG's launch on Steam achieves a new milestone on the PC gaming platform, outpacing competing games like Persona 3 Reload.
Standard Refinium is one of the earliest upgrade materials players will encounter in their long journey through Granblue Fantasy: Relink's campaign. You'll need to get a lot of these if you plan on getting every crewmate up to snuff, though this might be easier said than done.
How to Get Standard Refinium
During the early parts of the story, Standard Refinium is going to be relatively rare —you'll mostly find them as rewards from quests or as loot from chests and bosses. Some of the missions from the Quest Counter have Standard Refinium as a first-time clear reward, making them your best bet at getting some guaranteed drops early on while also earning plenty of EXP and MSP. Such quests include:
- Eye Have A Problem
- Golemology 101: Desert Golems
- Worried About Papa
Some quests also have Standard Refinium as part of their RNG-based drop tables. You can see what items a quest can drop by viewing its details at the Quest Counter. You get more rewards if you finish a quest's secondary objectives, so try to complete as much as you can before the main objective is complete.
If you have the Rafale Coins to spare, you can buy some from Sierokarte for 10 coins each. Rafale Coins are also earned from Quest Counter jobs, giving you more reason to complete all of them at least once. However, if you're itching to progress through the story, keep an eye out for chests and blue items around the levels, as they might hide Rafale Coins and other useful treasures.
What Is Standard Refinium For?
Standard Refinium is used to uncap a weapon's level, opening it up for further enhancement. You only need these until your weapon reaches Lv. 50. After that, you're going to need to get Quality Refinium instead. Visit a Blacksmith to see what additional items you need for uncapping your gear's level.
Later on, you'll get the option to forge whole weapons at any Blacksmith. If your level is high enough, you can get gear that start at Lv. 50 and above, completely removing the need to pre-farm Standard Refinium for characters you unlock in the future. However, you'll still need to farm for every other resource needed to uncap your new weapons.
