Mass Effect 3 caps off an amazing sci-fi adventure featuring everyone's favorite Commander Shepard. However, this game became infamous because of an ending that didn't feel rewarding after all the choices players had made throughout the three games.

Later updates and DLCs aimed to fix this, but players who still have issues with the ending can't deny that the rest of the experience is solid. The Reaper Invasion is a nightmare to behold, and Shepard must rely on both old and new allies to ensure that this invasion doesn't come to pass.

Halo 2 is one of the greatest video games ever made, marking a new chapter for Master Chief. Being able to control the Arbiter was a great way to enhance the game's worldbuilding and make it clear that not every member of the Covenant is working against the humans.

However, as great as the campaign may be, the cliffhanger ending isn't the greatest way to end this title. It comes out of nowhere and feels unearned, which is a shame since the rest of the experience is pretty solid.

Fallout 3 was a major step forward for the series, with Bethesda's open-world design doing a great job of breathing new life into the Capitol Wasteland. The writing may take a hit compared to the CRPG games that preceded it, but the incredible sense of exploration and memorable moments ensure that Fallout 3 will be right up the alley of most fans.

However, the issues stemming from the game's storytelling become glaring at the end, when the Sole Survivor is forced into a decision to step into the irradiated Project Purity chamber to shut it down. Even if players choose a robot, a ghoul, or a super mutant (all three of which can withstand radiation) to do this task, the game essentially calls them a coward, which is a lame way to end what is otherwise a memorable adventure.

Fable 2 is bigger, better, and bolder than its predecessor, with fans loving the high fantasy trappings of this IP once again. This time, players take on the role of a hero destined to stop a tyrannical ruler from bringing ruin to the world.

Lucien Fairfax is a pretty charismatic leader, and fans wondered how they would be able to take out this foe. What they didn't expect was for this fearsome antagonist to be taken out by one bullet (fired by either them or the Reaper), which is the very definition of an anti-climax.

Shadow of Mordor is a great video game that has a brutal take on the Arkham combat and features the iconic Nemesis System. Taking down waves of orcs and making their leaders submit to Talion's will makes for a great time.

As great as the journey to reach the end is, players will be disappointed to know that there's no boss fight against Sauron, with the Tower being more of a glorified stealth challenge than anything else. Players should definitely play The Bright Lord DLC to enjoy a final boss worthy of the amazing experiences this game has to offer.

In terms of letting players enjoy a modern immersive sim, Mankind Divided will be right up the alley of people who love the trappings of Deus Ex. Prague is also one of the best hubs ever in a video game, with the area changing dynamically over the course of this amazing adventure.

However, all the strengths of Mankind Divided couldn't stop fans from being somewhat disappointed after a hasty climax that left things on a cliffhanger. It showed how unfairly the Deus Ex IP was mistreated by Square Enix, and it seems like fans will have to wait for a very long time before Embracer Group even thinks about gracing fans with a new entry in the series.

Arkham Asylum is one of the best superhero games of all time, showing everyone that Rocksteady was here to turn around the poor reputation most superhero games have. The electric voice acting, a fun roster of characters, and the incredible combat were in a class of its own.

For how clever the game was, the boss fights were a constant source of agony. This is personified by the ending, with the fight against Titan Joker being one of the most lazily designed fights that didn't do justice to the villain's eclectic personality and intellect.

There was a time when people thought that BioShock Infinite was a near-perfect package. The fast-paced FPS combat and amazing storytelling ensure that fans will have a great time with what Infinite has to offer.

However, the ending, while very ambitious and full of multi-dimensional shenanigans, ends up being riddled with plot holes upon closer inspection. Comstock won't disappear just because Booker was killed during his baptism, although the cool visuals and frenetic pacing of the ending meant that most people were wowed by it the first time around with their game.
