There are three different types of eggs in Grounded 2, each serving its own purpose. However, while the Red Ant Egg is easy to find, the other two are fairly hard to claim, with players needing to be prepared. However, the effort is also worth it for these two, as players can hatch mounts to ride around on, fight on, and gather resources. Here are the locations of all the eggs in Grounded 2.
Where To Find Red Ant Eggs In Grounded 2
Red Ant Eggs are easily found inside any anthill, and players won't need to go deep inside the tunnel network or fight any ants to claim some. However, these eggs cannot be hatched and are instead a resource.
They are small, white, and oval-shaped. Thankfully, taking them will not draw the aggression of nearby ants.
Where To Find Red Soldier Ant Eggs In Grounded 2
Red Soldier Ant Eggs are the hardest to acquire, not only because they reside at the bottom of a deep tunnel network, but also because they are viciously guarded. For this reason, before proceeding with the main quest, 'Egg Hunt', players will want to construct some decent armor and weapons, stock up on Fiber Bandages for healing, and make sure their hunger and thirst meters are topped up.
The anthill for these eggs is called 'Hatchery Anthill: South Entrance'.
Red Soldier Ant Eggs are sometimes called Soldier Ant Eggs, but they are the same thing.
Where To Go In The Anthill
- Once inside the anthill, head down and defeat one or two Red Soldier Ants.
- At the large computer, turn left and follow the wire, which eventually leads to another computer.
- At the second computer, turn left, right, then left to enter a building.
- This building should contain an inaccessible egg enclosed by glass.
- Continue straight through the door at the opposite end through which you entered.
- Down a little bit of the cave, players should find a few Red Soldier Ant Eggs.
- Only one can be picked up at a time, and players cannot hold anything else.
- Carry this back the way you came to your base and place the egg in the Hatchery.
- Be warned that ants will attack you relentlessly, seeing as you've stolen an egg.
Halfway through the anthill, there is a small building where players can drink, sleep, and set their spawn.
Where To Find Orb Weaver Eggs In Grounded 2
If players already have a Red Soldier Ant Buggy to ride around, then getting an Orb Weaver Egg is actually easier. With a mount, players can outrun most predators, and importantly, the Buggy can carry the large egg.

The sheer amount of things to do in Grounded 2 can get overwhelming for players, resulting in confusion about what needs to be done first.
Orb Weaver Egg Location
One location for an Orb Weaver Egg is under a large, fallen streetlight where the Snackbar Front, Picnic Table, and Grass Games regions meet.
However, as this is also a Wolf Spider's den, players will have to be careful. It's best to wait until the spider is asleep or roaming outside. Players can then head in, and there should be a few large, purple eggs. Command your Ant Buggy to pick one up and carry it, then run back to base, where the egg can be hatched if players have progressed far enough in the story to unlock the recipe.
