In Grounded 2, there are three shields in particular that stand out as the best options - the Ladyguard, the Crimson Buckler, and the Bombuckler. To unlock each shield as a crafting recipe, players will simply need to analyze one of the resources/crafting materials involved in making them, all of which have been listed as crafting recipes for each shield below.

Ladyguard Shield in Grounded 2

The Ladyguard shield is a brilliant choice for players, as these materials are all accessible to the player from the very first beginning area they will start to explore. It also has very powerful block potential (the highest in the game), which will certainly aid players in their battle against vicious bugs.

Crafting materials:

4x Ladybug Part
2x Crude Rope
3x Sap

Mods offered:

Heavy Shield: Heavy shields fully block damage and don't drain as much stamina while blocking attacks.

Crimson Buckler Shield in Grounded 2

The Crimson Buckler is another fairly accessible shield option for players to consider, as it is made from Red Ants, Grubs, and Mites, which, compared to other critters, are fairly easy to take down. Additionally, they take parrying/perfect block to the next level by applying damage and stun to the target, making them a great option for aggressive combat.

4x Mite Fang
4x Red Ant Part

Light Shield: Perfect blocks with a light shield deal high stun, but normal blocks have lower protection.

Bombuckler Shield in Grounded 2

Lastly there is the Bombuckler shield. This Shield is a little bit more difficult to obtain, as sourcing the parts will involve going up against Bombardier Beetles. However, it is a worthwhile investment due to the unique mods and solid block potential. With a perfect block/parry, you will apply sizzle damage to the target, helping to take them down with more ease.
