There are dozens of resources and materials that players will have to gather or create in Grounded 2. While some can be found in the wild and require players to roam the world in search of them, others are made from raw materials and crafted into something else via complex contraptions.

Silk Rope is among the materials that players can only acquire if they have the right tools and materials at their disposal. This guide tells players how they can gain access to Silk Rope in Grounded 2.

How to Make Silk Rope in Grounded 2

In order to make Silk Rope in Grounded 2, players must build a Spinning Wheel. This piece of machinery will allow gamers to turn material into stronger substances. While certain Spinning Wheel recipes are available in the Build Mode, they are actually cheaper if players opt to create them using the Spinning Wheel. However, that is not the case with the Silk Rope, as it is only available here.

The Spinning Wheel recipe is unlocked by scanning Web Fiber at the Resource Analyzer. Thankfully, it is a common resource that can be obtained by killing any type of spider, including the small and weak Spiderlings, or destroying Web Sacs. After obtaining the recipe, gamers will have to put together the following materials to build it:

  • 2 Acorn Top
  • 4 Clay
  • 4 Red Ant Part
  • 3 Sap
  • 4 Crude Rope

Once players have built the Spinning Wheel, they will be able to craft Silk Rope using Web Fiber. Gamers can queue up to 5 Silk Ropes; each Silk Rope requires 1 Web Fiber to be made, and each order will only be completed after 1 hour and 12 minutes.

If players plan on crafting several Silk Ropes - or other materials - using a Spinning Wheel, they should always queue it up before they leave the base or head to bed. Silk Rope is a fundamental ingredient in several recipes in Grounded 2, so it is important for players to understand how it is made.
