How to Reach the Top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2

Grounded 2 features an expansive park map with several smartly designed hard-to-reach places that often hide valuable loot or a mission objective. While traveling through the wilderness, you may have noticed a garbage can south of Snackbar Front in the Entrance area. This area is surrounded by toxic fumes, which will quickly deplete your character's HP if you head in unprepared. However, you'll need to reach the top to complete one of the objectives in the Signals and Stashes main mission. Here's how to do it.

How to Craft a Gas Mask in Grounded 2

The area around and inside the garbage can is covered in toxic gases that will knock out your character quickly in Grounded 2. So, you'll need to craft a Gas Mask first, which will offer the Gas Guard perk (resistance against toxic gas). To craft the Gas Mask, you'll need the following resources.

1x Weevil Nose
4x Gnat Fuzz
Crude Rope
Stinkbug Part

Once you have everything required for the Gas Mask, simply go ahead and craft it on a Workbench. If you don't have the crafting recipe for it unlocked, you'll need to scan the ingredients in the Resource Analyzer for it to show up in the Workbench.

How to Reach the Top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2

Once you've equipped the Gas Mask, head to the location shown on the map above to reach the western side of the Garbage Can. Here, you'll spot a branch leading to the trash can that you can climb on and get inside. Here are the complete climbing instructions to reach the top of the trash can in Grounded 2.

Once inside, climb the banana on the right till the end and grab the Raw Science orb. Later, turn around, and you'll see a plastic spoon to jump on and right a higher level.
Keep heading across the white spoon and the plate until you spot a branch heading to the upper area. Jump on the branch and carefully follow it through the exterior of the Garbage Can and then back inside again.
Once you're back in the interior of the Garbage Can, jump on the crumpled paper on the right and head across the plate.
At the end, turn around, and you'll spot an opening to the left with a brown rope making a path. Jump on it and follow it for a bit until you see the rim of the Garbage Can on the right with stars and rocket glow stickers.
Once you're on the rim, keep following the path on the left until you come across a spoon that will lead you to the top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2.

If you're following the Signals and Stashes, be prepared to fight a roach boss and smaller roaches on the top before you can hack the O.R.C. Transmitter. However, that should be relatively easy if you've got weapons and armor.
