Where To Find Snake Scales in Grounded 2 The Toxic Tangle
Snake Scales are an exclusive drop from the newest inhabitant of Brookhollow Park: The Snake Colossus, also known as Garter Snake. And the first step to getting this new material for crafting armor, weapons, and cool new structures is to find this snake.
Be sure to have the Omnitool Hammer at level 3 before trying the next step; otherwise, it will be impossible to obtain this resource. Also, bring lots of healing items since the farming is extremely dangerous.
To do this, travel to the Croquet Court zone, on the northeastern side of Brookhollow Park. Players need to look for a trail-like pattern in the ground, and go to a higher position, then wait until the snake makes its entrance.
Once players see the head of the snake, don't jump in front of it, but instead, mount its back and take a 'free ride' across the Croquet Court. Be ready for a bumpy ride, because every time players hammer down the scales to detach them and pick them up, the Snake is going to twist her body to make them fall.

If players collide with structures or the ground while riding the Snake, they will receive heavy damage. It is also recommended to build a Lean-O to set a respawn point near the area, so that way, if players fall to the snake's shaking, they will be able to quickly recover and return to farming.
The sname makes her rounds early in the morning, and in the evening just before dusk. Each time this creature spawns, its scales will respawn with it, so players can ride it again and farm once more.
There are a total of 4 Scales to be broken down and farmed per Snake Run, and players will need a lot to craft the precious Snake Armor Set, and the Snake Scale building structures.
Don't try to attack or get in front of the snake's head, or it's going to be game over real fast. The battle against the Snake Colossus happens later during the new content, and to avoid spoilers, we will leave it at that.
