Weed Stems are used to build all sorts of things in Grounded 2 from base components to Hatcheries, so you'll need to stock up on them if you want to get through the early stages of the game and establish a foothold in the park. Weed Stems are much less common than other building materials in Grounded 2, however, but they're easy to farm once you know what to look for.

Weed Stems don't fit in your regular inventory. Instead, they have to be carried on your shoulder like Grass Planks and other large resources. You'll also need a special place to store them since they don't fit into regular chests, so getting enough Weed Stems for your Grounded 2 builds can be a hassle.

How to Get Weed Stems in Grounded 2

Grounded 2 Dandelions

Weed Stems are obtained by chopping down Dandelions in Grounded 2. You can chop Dandelions with your Omni-Tool just like you would with blades of grass or other tall plants. Once a Dandelion is destroyed, it'll drop a handful of Weed Stems depending on its size.

Weed Stems cannot be stored in your inventory since they're too big, so you have to carry them like Grass Planks. You can only hold a few at a time, and you can't use weapons or items while you have them on your shoulder. To store Weed Stems, you have to build a Stem Pallet and place them on top one by one.

Grounded 2 Weed Stems

Dandelions aren't as common as grass, but they're not exactly rare. Their sturdy brown stems stand out among the forest of grass, and you can look upward for Dandelion Tufts to spot them as well. Dandelions regrow just like grass, too, so you don't have to worry about running out if you have some next to your base. Weed Stems will despawn after some time though, so make sure to store them on a Stem Pallet ASAP to keep them permanently.

A Stem Pallet can hold up to 20 Weed Stems, and the game will pull from your Stem Pallet storage when you're building as long as you're in range.

Thankfully, Stem Pallets are easy to craft since they only require basic materials like Pebblets, Crude Rope, and Dry Grass Chunks. You shouldn't have to worry about running out of space for your Weed Stems in Grounded 2. Make sure to keep at least a few at your base at all times in case you need to make some upgrades.
