Grounded has had a healthy early access period. Obsidian's homage to Honey I Shrunk The Kids first launched on July 28, 2020, and in those two years, Grounded's player base has grown to well over a million players.
That period is coming to a close, however, as Grounded' s 1.0 release is just around the corner, dropping tomorrow, September 27, 2022. Players will soon be able to explore the new Upper Yard, fight a new boss, and finally reach the ending of Grounded's story.
There will doubtlessly be fans who will want to get their hands on the 1.0 release the second it comes out, maybe organizing a group session with their friends. Thankfully for them, the guide below covers the game's release times.
Grounded's Release Times
Grounded 1.0 will be available on September 27th at 1:00 PM EST. It will be a simultaneous worldwide release. Thankfully, Obsidian and Xbox Games Studios have released a reference map, shown above, to help players find the release time in their own time zone. The examples are listed below:
- Seattle: 10:00 AM - 9/27/22
- Mexico City - 12:00 PM 9/27/22
- New York - 1:00 PM 9/27/22
- Sao Paulo - 2:00 PM 9/27/22
- London - 6:00 PM 9/27/22

For interested players who won't play the game through Xbox Game Pass, they might want to snag the game before the 1.0 release. While the final update will be free, the asking price is going from $29.99 USD to $39.99 USD as it leaves early access. Players can save 10 dollars by swooping in right before early access closes.
While this is a big milestone, it will be far from Grounded's last. Aside from any new content in upcoming updates, Grounded will be expanding into multimedia with an upcoming TV show written by Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Brent Friedman. There will be plenty of Grounded to experience going forth.
