The second weekly event for August is live in Grow a Garden, and as expected, it’s the second half of last week’s cooking-themed event. This time, alongside the rewards from Chris P.’s Kitchen, there’s also the chance to grab the Culinarian Chest and other goodies from the Rat Connoisseur.
On top of that, there are new pets, crops, mutations, and cosmetics to give your garden a unique touch. This guide covers what's included in the Connoisseur event, how to trigger the Kitchen Storm event, and how to get Mutated Foods for the Rat Connoisseur.
Rat Connoisseur
First up, there’s the Rat Connoisseur, now sitting near Chris P.’s Kitchen. He’s kind of like a Roblox version of Remy from Pixar’s Ratatouille. He’s here to judge your cooking skills, so you’ll need to give him Mutated Food. In return, he’ll let you pick a reward from three random options he presents.
How to Make Mutated Food in Grow a Garden
To make Mutated Foods in Grow a Garden, toss in ingredients with mutations (mostly Aromatic plants). Fruits with more mutations generally increase your odds of getting these dishes, but adding more Aromatic ones guarantees it.
You can check the mutation meter above the cooking pot to confirm; its position shows whether your upcoming meal will be mutated or simple. A red line means non-mutated food, while a green bar means mutated. Also, when collecting your prepared meal, there’s a small chance of a lucky cook, where your food automatically becomes mutated.

Chris P.'S Kitchen & The New Kitchen Storm
Next, while the adorable chef Chris P. Is still around to satisfy his cravings every hour, he now also offers a bonus Kitchen Storm event to speed up your cooking time. Just give him any food (random dishes work) until he reaches 40 points and levels up the kitchen.
Mythical meals give eight points, and Prismatic ones give nine, but meal size can change the point values. Once you raise the kitchen to level 1 in Grow a Garden, the Kitchen Storm event will start, though it’ll end faster at this stage.
To keep it running longer, you can upgrade the kitchen up to four times (160 points total). The nice part is that all players on the server can contribute, helping trigger the Kitchen Storm faster and more often.
At each level of the Kitchen Storm event, your cooking speed increases, along with better chances of getting special Aromatic mutation fruits:
- 1.5x at Level 1
- 2.5x at Level 2
- 3x at Level 3
- 3.5x at Level 4
How to Get Aromatic Fruits in Grow a Garden
Players can get Aromatic fruits during the Kitchen Storm event, as the weather will turn most fruits in your garden into this special variant. Just make sure to fill up the event meter and feed Chris P. Quality dishes to keep it going.
You can also use a Pet Mutation Shard Aromatic on a critter in Grow a Garden to make it apply the Aromatic mutation outside of the Kitchen event.
