The spooky Halloween event is live in Grow a Garden, with Part 1 kicking things off with cool pets like Headless Horseman and Bone Dog, plus profitable seeds like the Poison Apple. After a strong start, Part 2 has just dropped on October 18 and will run until October 25.
Besides collecting Candy Corns through the Witch’s Cauldron and shopping at the Halloween Market, players can talk to the Dead Tree to finish its task and jump into the new Grave Digging minigame to score more rewards. Here’s a quick look at how to play the Grave Digger event, earn extra Digs, and get and use the Dig Trinket in Grow a Garden.
Grow a Garden Grave Digging Minigame, Explained
Once you hop into Roblox Grow a Garden after the 1.28.0 update, you’ll find the Dead Tree appearing every 8 hours in place of the Witch’s Brew. During the rest of the time, the Witch will still be around to help farm a bunch of Candy Corns. You’ll also notice the Gravedigger showing up every 2 hours, swapping places with the Jack-o-Lantern.
This NPC, named Doug Graves, lets you join a fun minigame where you shovel into a massive tomb to pull out treasures. These include seeds like Zombie Fruit, Wisp Flower, and Mummy’s Hand, plus critters like Goblin, Hex Serpent, Crow, and plenty of other goodies.
How to Get More Digs in Grow a Garden
To dig in the game, just click on the grave block you want to remove inside the minigame. Every click uses up one of your 10 digs, whether or not there’s something hidden underneath.
Once all 10 shovels run out, you won’t be able to keep playing unless you get more of this event currency. In Grow a Garden, you can get digs in three ways:
- Wait 5 minutes for a free refill (gives 1 dig)
- Use a Dig Trinket (gives 1 dig)
- Spend 59 Robux (restores all 10 digs)
How to Get and Use Dig Trinket in Grow a Garden
Dig Trinket is a mythical rarity item that you can only get from the Halloween Gear Box. It’s a chest you can buy from the Ghostly Gadgets shop in the Halloween Market for 30 Candy Corns or win from the Gravedigger rewards.
The Halloween Market pops up every 45 minutes, and it almost always has the Halloween Gear Box in stock at the gear shop. So it’s smart to keep some Candy Corns ready to grab a few. Fans can also collect it from digging rewards with an 11.63% possibility.
Once you’ve got a Halloween Gear Box, just open it. There’s a 23.81% chance you’ll pull a Dig Trinket from it, making it the second-easiest prize to claim.
To use a Dig Trinket in Grow a Garden, equip it from your inventory and click anywhere on the screen to instantly get one extra dig. Players can stack these trinkets to keep the Grave Digger minigame going for longer. Since each tomb hides around seven treasures, once you discover them all, you can restart the minigame for 1 trillion Sheckles and use your additional digs to gather even more rewards from the Halloween Part 2 event.
