Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are speculating on a potentially huge new gameplay feature for the series, as many believe the title's most recent trailer seemingly hinted at the ability to renovate safe houses. Grand Theft Auto 6's second trailer is now three weeks old, but fans around the world continue to dissect every single frame and speculate on potential new gameplay features, easter eggs, references, and more.
Ever since Rockstar Games released the highly anticipated second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 on May 6, the internet has been inundated with theories regarding the next entry in the series. One of the most recent theories to gain traction is surrounding the potential return of a popular Manhunt character. Although Rockstar hasn't touched the incredibly violent Manhunt series since the 2007 sequel, fans believe Cal Hampton, one of Grand Theft Auto 6's characters, could actually be Piggsy due to a tattoo on his leg. Not everyone is convinced on the theory, but it's just one of the many pieces of speculation sparked by Trailer 2.

GTA 6 Fans Think There May Be a House Renovation Feature
Fans have already been theorizing on the potential inclusion of a mobile radio station in Grand Theft Auto 6 after spotting Lucia wearing wireless earbuds, but another theory is pointing toward an even bigger gameplay feature. In a new post on Reddit, user More_Soup has questioned whether or not the next Grand Theft Auto game will include the ability to renovate safe houses. They theorize this as Jason and Lucia's home in Trailer 2 seemingly changes as time goes by, with the first half of the trailer showing the hallway being rennovated and the latter half showing it mostly complete. Other parts of the house remain under construction, but the user has speculated that Jason may have been given the house by Brian in exchange for Jason's help renovating other houses.
Not everyone is convinced by the theory, but one user has theorized that it could be an optional feature similar to camp upgrades in Red Dead Redemption 2. While Rockstar Games' previous title didn't include a full rennovation system like the one being theorized for Grand Theft Auto 6, it did allow players to pay to upgrade certain elements of their camp. Others, such as Reddit user Moistycake, have said "being able to buy furniture to customize your safe house would be neat and a great way to spend money from missions."
Of course, this remains as pure speculation for the time being, as Rockstar Games has yet to confirm whether or not such a feature will be present in the next Grand Theft Auto game. Sadly, fans still have another year left to go until they find out, as the studio recently delayed Grand Theft Auto 6. The highly anticipated title was initially set to launch in Fall 2025, but was pushed back to May 26, 2026 as Rockstar Games is working to meet the expectations of players.
