A Grand Theft Auto-centric Twitter account by the handle of GTABase.com took note of a small detail while re-watching the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, and posted a screenshot of said detail for fans to discover and speculate on. In one brief moment, Lucia appears to be wearing an ankle monitor, which in the real world is used to track prisoners who are given house arrest. GTABase.com wonders if this will have some sort of impact on gameplay during the beginning of Grand Theft Auto 6, with Lucia not able to travel outside of a certain radius early on.

Open-world games like Grand Theft Auto sometimes lock players in a certain section of the map until they learn the ropes or reach a certain point in the story, and Lucia’s apparent ankle monitor could be GTA 6’s way of slowly unlocking its massive map with a solid in-universe explanation as to why she can’t leave a certain area at the start of the game.
