Out of nowhere, Rockstar Games has finally released the long-awaited Trailer 2 for Grand Theft Auto 6. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped all the way back in December 2023, meaning fans have been waiting well over a year to get another look at the open-world crime game.
The first GTA 6 trailer focused on Lucia, the game's female protagonist, and established the Leonida setting, which includes an updated version of the iconic Vice City. Fans have been analyzing the first trailer to death in the absence of Trailer 2, but now that can all come to an end. Rockstar Games has finally released GTA 6 Trailer 2.
Shuhei Yoshida Comments on Potential Price of GTA 6
Former PlayStation president Shuhei Yoshida comments on the potential price of Rockstar's eagerly awaited Grand Theft Auto 6.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 2 confirms the rumors that the male playable protagonist in the game is named Jason. It opens up with him living life while Lucia is in prison. We see a day of Jason's life where he works on the roof of his house, interacts with a character named Brian, rob a store, work out on a beach, and buy beer, before finally going to prison to pick up Lucia. Based on the trailer, it doesn't take long at all for Jason and Lucia to get right back into crime. The two also find themselves entangled with the feds, which could lead to some interesting story developments. The trailer focuses a lot on the romantic relationship between Jason and Lucia, and one has to wonder how their story is going to play out.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 is action-heavy, with plenty of explosions, shoot-outs, and vehicular mayhem. The trailer also confirms the return of the Ammu-Nation store, so fans don't have to worry about GTA 6 lacking firepower. There are likely a great deal more details to discover in the second GTA 6 trailer, and considering how long fans have to wait to play the game, hopefully that keeps them busy.
Unfortunately, the GTA 6 release date was recently delayed from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. While this is bad news for sure, it does hopefully mean that the game will release in a better state than it would have otherwise. Plus, this is the first time that we have ever had a solid release date for Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans and the entertainment world at large can now mark their calendars and plan accordingly.
