However, near the end, this villain kidnaps Maria (a person who was helping Claude in his quest for revenge) and demands a ransom from him.
With all his weapons confiscated, players must incapacitate a guard, take a lowly pistol, and take out numerous members of the Cartel before eventually making their way to Catalina. He saves Maria and shoots down his ex-girlfriend's chopper with an RPG, ending her life for good. The game isn't over yet, with Maria complaining about her hair and nails being ruined by the kidnapping, only to be silenced by a gunshot that is presumably shot by Claude.
