A Grand Theft Auto Online player has discovered that one can call 911 during the Dispatch missions to get additional support. Many fans seem to be unaware of the mechanic that emergency services can be called in Grand Theft Auto Online, and this feature adds an interesting dynamic to the missions.
With Grand Theft Auto 6 around the corner, many expected that Rockstar Games would slow down the release of new content in GTA Online. However, the game has shown no signs of stopping. Just recently, the Bottom Dollar Bounties update was released for GTA Online, adding a new set of Dispatch Work missions alongside a plethora of other content. Amid that, one player has discovered an interesting aspect of Dispatch missions.
GTA Online Player Shows How to 'Kidnap' NPCs
A recent Grand Theft Auto Online clip shows how a player managed to kidnap an NPC using a surprisingly simple method, but there's a catch.
In a new post on the Grand Theft Auto Online subreddit, user SgtSniper29 highlights an interesting feature they discovered while roleplaying for the Dispatch missions. Apparently, if players call 911 during Dispatch missions, police arrive to help. They assist players in taking down enemies, which should help in making the Dispatch missions somewhat easier.
How To Start Dispatch Missions and Call 911 in GTA Online
- Get a Police car from Warstock Cash and Carry
- Press the horn button to start Dispatch missions
- Use in-game phone to call 911
Several fans were quite surprised to find out about the feature and appreciated how immersive it was. An impressive detail is that if players start shooting, the poilce still don't turn on them. However, players need to be careful. If they accidentally end up shooting at one of the cops, they will get a wanted level in GTA Online, which will make the cops hostile as well.
In order to start the Dispatch missions, players will need to get their hands on a police car from Warstock Cash and Carry. However, that is not going to be an easy task. These cars can cost up to a whopping 5 million, and fans have expressed their reservations about how expensive they are. Players will need to grind money for a while in GTA Online before they will be able to buy it. There are some cheaper options available, but players will still need to shell out a few million to start the missions.
Once players are in the car, they can press the horn button which will cause Vincent to call them and give Dispatch missions. In order to call 911 during the missions, players will need to simply use their in-game phone. One can head to the Contact app on their phone, and then bring up the numpad. After that, players can simply dial 911 and press the call button to contact the police. The only caveat is that players can't access Dispatch missions while they are part of an organization or motorcycle club in GTA Online.
