From December 19 to December 31, GTA Online players can login to receive a cache of free gifts. Players can expect to receive a festive penguin onesie, a gold reindeer pendant, gold star fitted jacket and matching pants combo, a firework launcher with 20 rockets included, a snowball launcher, and a full refresh to players' snacks, armor, and ammo. Additionally, those who spot the Happy Holidays Hauler driving around can collect GTA$, RP, and snack and ammo refills, as well as one of two holiday sweaters, themed after eCola and Sprunk.

The game is also introducing new vehicles to buy. Players can pick up the Invetero Coquette D10 Pursuit cop car, the Willard Outreach Faction lowrider patrol car, and the Brute Taco Van. Players will also see a boost to earnings while doing Dispatch Work and Pizza Deliveries, and 2x the normal passive income from the Agents of Sabotage Garment Factory. Players can pass the time with the return of seasonal events from prior years, including the Weazel Plaza Shootout, destroying all Snowmen, and hunting the Yeti. The title is also offering 3x GTA$ and RP on Entourage (Festive Remix). Players who complete it once will get the Snowman Finish for the Combat Pistol, winning five matches grants players the Skull Santa Finish for the Special Carbine, while winning twice as Santa unlocks the Santa's Helper Finish for the Heavy Sniper. Winning at least two Adversary Modes will grant players a bonus of 100,000 GTA$.
Whlie some players are eagerly diving into what GTA Online has to offer this season, some are still disappointed by Rockstar Games remaining tight-lipped. Many were hoping to see a new trailer for GTA 6 before the end of the year, whether at The Game Awards or during a reveal all its own. However, with 2025 rapidly approaching, it's becoming less likely that hopeful players will be seeing anything new of the sequel until then. This has added further concern that GTA 6 could be delayed, possibly pushing it out of 2025 entirely.
