Someone has spotted a hidden message in the new GTA Online update which appears to suggest that Rockstar may be getting ready to make an announcement about something. With around 180 million copies sold to date, the fifth installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is easily one of the highest-grossing video games of all time. However, it's also nearly 10 years old, and fans are eager for the next entry.Until then, there's always the multiplayer portion of GTA 5, which allows players to join up with others and do heists or just unleash general chaos. Recently, Grand Theft Auto Online received its huge San Andreas Mercenaries update, which adds a ton of new content, including plenty of new male and female clothes. However, one of these items of clothing seems to have come with a secret, and it's taken a little decoding to work out what the developer is trying to say.RELATED: GTA Online Just Lost a Quarter of its Vehicles As spotted by Twitter account GTANet, one of the new shirts in the latest GTA Online update has a series of numbers that, on the surface, don't appear to mean anything. However, when these digits are run through a decoder, specifically one that converts numbers into letters, it returns a message that says, "ONEDAYWILLREVEALALL." It could be a coincidence, but others in the Twitter thread feel that this is Rockstar subtly hinting that something is on the horizon. Of course, what most are hoping for is some sort of announcement about Grand Theft Auto 6.

Even before it was confirmed that the next entry in the series was in development, there were plenty of rumors surrounding GTA 6, including a potential release date. The leaked content that made its way into public hands in September 2022 was the most anyone outside the studio had seen of the upcoming title. Apart from that, Rockstar has been pretty quiet about the sixth installment, but this decoded message could lead to something. It could also just be a troll, or it could mean absolutely nothing at all. In any case, it's best to hold off any judgment until official word from either the developer or parent company.

Rockstar has been working on GTA 6 for what feels like a lifetime, so it's understandable that some are convinced the game is nearing completion. All people can really do at this point is keep an eye out for any announcements, though the rumors, leaks, and speculations are at least keeping everyone talking about the elusive release.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
