While GTA 3 is generally considered to be the most innovative of the series' original 3D trilogy, and San Andreas, the most well-polished; Grand Theft Auto: Vice City draws its plaudits from the fantastic job that the developers did recreating the nineteen-eighties. From the incredible soundtrack to the way that characters dress and talk, there can be no confusion as to the era in which Vice City is set. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, this meticulous attention to detail extends right through to the game's vehicles as well.

Though pretty much all of the series' recurring vehicles can be found cruising around the streets of Vice City, their designs have all been altered to better match the era. The influence provided by iconic cars like the Ferrari Testarossa and the Lamborghini Countach is clear for all to see and really helps to make the city's streets feel more authentic. It's also great news for fans of fast driving, as the game is overflowing with high-speed vehicles as a result of their inclusion.

Blista Compact

The Blista Compact may not look all that fast when lined up alongside the many supercars that can be found in GTA: Vice City, but there's actually an awful lot going on under the car's unspectacular-looking hood. The Honda CR-X-inspired hatchback is capable of reaching speeds of around 200 km/h, making it one of the fastest cars in Vice City. Its two-tone paint job, on the other hand, makes it one of the most distinctive.

Where to Find a Blista Compact in GTA: Vice City

Unlike some of the other fast cars in Vice City, the Blista Compact is actually quite a common vehicle, so players really shouldn't have too much trouble tracking one down. They'll be able to find them driving around in a few different areas, including the Little Haiti and Little Havana regions of mainland Vice City.

Comet

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-comet

The first of six iconic sports cars to be found in Vice City, the comet is based on an early eighties Porsche 911SC. Despite showing up in both GTA IV and GTA V, this is the only game from the original 3D trilogy in which the Comet makes an appearance, making it something of a collector's item for those who come across it.

Where to Find a Comet in GTA: Vice City

Generally speaking, players are a lot more likely to find Comets in some of the more affluent areas of Vice City. They're fairly common in the Ocean Beach and Downtown areas of Starfish Island, and can also be found near the Leaf Links Golf Club on Vice City Beach.

Deluxo

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-deluxo

The Deluxo is another sports car that can only be found natively in Vice City, although GTA Online players may recognize it as one of the vehicles added to the game as part of the Doomsday Heist update. It's heavily inspired by the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 that was made famous by the Back to the Future trilogy, though also borrows design elements from a few other vehicles.

Where to Find a Deluxo in GTA: Vice City

As well as being one of the fastest, the Deluxo also happens to be one of the rarest cars in GTA: Vice City. Players will only be able to find the car parked inside Sunshine Autos, though only after they have completed the first import/export list. This may seem like a bit of a chore, but is absolutely worth the effort and is also a great way to make money in GTA: Vice City.

Police Car

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-cop-car

As is often the case in Grand Theft Auto games, the Police Car is among the fastest vehicles to be found on the streets of Vice City. In keeping with the game's eighties setting, the car is based in part on the Ford LTD Police, which was a popular choice for North American police forces throughout the seventies and eighties.

Most players would probably rather avoid the police if given the option, though doing so in a GTA game is definitely a lot easier said than done. Players will run into the VCPD just about everywhere they go in Vice City, more so if they're fans of flaunting the city's laws. Players can either take one of the cars by force, or instead head over to a Police Station, where unattended Police Cars can typically be found parked outside.

Phoenix

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-phoenix

Though the GTA series tends to give sports cars the edge over muscle cars when it comes to speed, the Phoenix is something of a rare exception. Based on the iconic Pontiac Firebird, this fantastic-looking vehicle is absolutely rapid and is yet another car that can only be found in Vice City when it comes to the original 3D trilogy.

Where to Find a Phoenix in GTA: Vice City

Despite being one of the fastest cars in GTA: Vice City, the Phoenix is actually incredibly common, showing up in numerous parts of Ocean Beach. In particular, players should look out for them cruising around some of the more affluent parts of the district, with Vice City Beach a notable hotspot for the overpowered muscle car.

Stinger

As one of the few vehicles to have appeared in every single mainline Grand Theft Auto game, that the Stinger would once again return for Vice City was never really in doubt. This time around, however, the iconic sports car shares its looks with the Ferrari Daytona Spyder, in one of several references to NBC's eighties crime drama, Miami Vice.

Those hoping to get their hands on a Stinger would do well to head over to Downtown Vice City. They do show up elsewhere in the city from time to time, particularly in areas where wealthy people are living, but the Downtown area seems to serve as one of the main hotspots for this head-turning vehicle.

Banshee

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-banshee

Following its introduction in Grand Theft Auto 3, the Banshee has gone on to appear in just about every subsequent GTA title, and each iteration has always been one of the fastest cars in their respective games. That's once again the case in GTA: Vice City, where the Banshee's design is inspired by early versions of the Corvette C4.

Where to Find a Banshee in GTA: Vice City

As is the case with many of the other fast cars in Vice City, the Banshee is typically only driven by the wealthy. As such, players won't find too many of them on the streets, though can definitely increase their chances by making their way over to Starfish Island. There, players shouldn't have too much trouble finding one; either cruising around aimlessly or parked up near one of the many mansions.

Hotring Racer

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-hotring-racer

The Hotring Racer is one of several special vehicles in GTA: Vice City. As its design might suggest, the Hotring Racer is a stock car and has a few different in-game variants. The most common of these is based on a 1982 Ford Thunderbird, while the other two were inspired by the Chevrolet Cavalier and the Oldsmobile Cutlass respectively.

Where to Find a Hotring Racer in GTA: Vice City

As with some of the other special vehicles in Vice City, finding a Hotring Racer legitimately is going to require a little bit of work from players. The only place where the vehicle shows up is on the second floor of Sunshine Autos, but it will only do so once players have completed the fourth and final import/export list after purchasing the asset. Of course, players could just cheat to get one if they don't mind their trophies/achievements being locked.

Cheetah

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-cheetah

Despite its namesake being the fastest land animal on earth, the Cheetah narrowly misses out on being the fastest car in Vice City, just as it did in the game's predecessor. That's not the only similarity between the Vice City Cheetah and its GTA 3 counterpart either, with both cars borrowing design elements from the Ferrari Testarossa. Due to the games being set in two different eras, however, the Vice City version is based on the F110 rather than the F512 M.

Where to Find a Cheetah in GTA: Vice City

Those hoping to find a Cheetah are going to have their work cut out for them, as they typically only show up in some of Vice City's more affluent areas. As a result, players should focus their search on either the Vice City Beach area or Starfish Island, where Cheetahs can sometimes be found parked up near some of the island's many mansions.

Infernus

gta-vice-city-fastest-cars-infernus

In what will likely come as a surprise to no one, the Infernus comfortably takes the title of GTA: Vice City's fastest car. It would later go on to become the fastest land vehicle in San Andreas as well, meaning that the Infernus is actually the fastest car in all three of the games in the GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy. In Vice City, it clearly resembles the Lamborghini Countach, which It's Always Sunny fans may recognize as Dennis' dream car; as revealed in the show's "A Verry Sunny Christmas" episode.

Where to Find an Infernus in GTA: Vice City

The Infernus can actually be found driving around in numerous parts of the city, though it is somewhat rare when compared to the rest of the vehicles in the game. Players should focus their search on the city's more affluent areas, with Vice City Beach and Starfish Island the most likely spawn locations for this ultra-fast car.
