If you are wondering how to acquire Serpent Scales in Hades 2, the answer is actually quite simple and straightforward: you simply need to reach the Summit, the final region in Hades 2's Surface run.

Just as every individual region has its own specific materials to collect, so too does the Summit. The specific item type you'll need to be looking for are Reagents, which include the metal and ore outcroppings that require the Crescent Pick to acquire. Each region in Hades 2 features unique Reagents and Greeneries.

For example, Erebus is the only place in Hades 2 that you can find Silver. Likewise, the Summit of Mt. Olympus is the only place you'll find Serpent Scales. To reach the Olympus Summit, you'll first need to unlock access to the Surface, then fight your way through the following three regions:

  • City of Ephyra
  • Rift of Thessaly
  • Mount Olympus

Can You Farm Serpent Scales in Hades 2?

While there isn't a way to 'farm' S Scales in Hades 2, at least not in the traditional sense, there is a way to ensure you have the best chance of locating them when you reach the summit.

To do this, you'll want to bring Raki as your familiar. All of Hades 2's Animal Companions feature the ability to improve Mel's chances of finding a specific item. Raki, the white bird companion, makes it more likely that Mel will encounter rocky outcroppings. This means that Raki will improve your chances of locating Serpent Scales at the Summit.
