Hades 2 is an incredibly exciting game currently available to play in early access. Fans have got a proper look at the same, thanks to the early access, and gotten to know all the mechanics, among other things, very well.
Hades 2: Best Weapon Aspects, Ranked
Weapon Aspects in Hades 2 allow players to change up their playstyle with their favorite weapons. These are the best enhancements in the game.
Some essential parts of the game are the health and Magick bars. Increasing their max holding can make the game a lot smoother for players. Here’s how to increase the max capacity of the player’s Health and the Magick bar in Hades 2.
What is Health in Hades 2?
In Hades 2, the player has a red health bar that leads to the end of their run if it drops to 0. Hades 2 is a game where the player will always have to restart from the beginning every time they lose, and because of that, it’s essential to maximize the health they have to give them a better shot at reaching the end of the game and defeating the final boss.
How To Increase Max Health
When it comes to increasing Max Health in Hades 2, the player needs to keep an eye out for a Centaur Heart. These hearts are dark blue with a red trident motif on them. To get these Centaur Hearts, the player can clear out encounters when they see a Centaur Heart is at the entrance, or they can purchase it from Charon, the Boatman of the river Styx.
If the player wishes to purchase it from Charon, the heart will cost 125 Golden Crown, which is a pretty high price.
This heart adds 25 health points to the player’s health bar and it will be stacked whenever they acquire a new centaur heart. It is important to note, however, that this isn’t a permanent health increase and, if the player dies, their original health bar will be restored.
What is Magick in Hades 2?
Magick is the other bar the player will have, next to their health, and this one is blue. Magick, in Hades 2, is what allows the player to use their omega specials, attacks, or cast. It is basically a mana bar.
Hades 2: Witch's Staff Weapon Guide – Best Builds, Boons, & More
Descura, the Witch Staff, is the first weapon Melinoë can use in Hades 2, but it's far from the worst.
Fans of the previous Hades game will notice that this is a new addition to the series, and it certainly looks very exciting. It is definitely a huge addition to the franchise. Magick is typically easier to restore compared to Health, so it is less of a priority to max it out, but it is still good to have a lot at your disposal to take down enemies more easily.
How to Increase Max Magick in Hades 2
When it comes to increasing the player’s Max Magick, they should look no further than Soul Tonics. The player can spot them by looking for round flasks that have a blue star in the middle. To get Soul Tonics, the player has to clear encounters where the entrance has a Soul tonic on it. If, instead, the player wants to buy one, they can find it being sold by Charon. To buy it, the player will have to pay 100 Golden Crowns.
The Soul Tonic will increase the player’s max Magick by 30 and its effect can stack up, meaning if the player gets 2 health tonics they can increase their max Magick to 60.
Of course, just like the Centaur Heart, the player should keep in mind that if they fall in battle, the effects the Soul Tonic had on their base Magick bar will be gone.
How To Increase Both Max Magick and Max Health
In Hades 2, while Health and Magick have their own separate bars, there are ways to increase the max of both of them at once, instead of having to acquire a tonic or a Centaur Heart.
Unlocking The Titan - An Arcana Card
The Titan is an arcana card every player needs to unlock as soon as possible, as it grants the player a huge boost in both Magick and Health. It can be acquired quite early on in the game with no issues.
The player needs to head to the Altar of Ashes and meditate. There, they will be able to unlock Arcana Cards. The Titan Card is the VII card, or the seventh card. To unlock it, the player will have to first unlock I and then the II or VI cards. Once that’s done, the player will need 7 ashes to be able to get the Titan card.
This amazing card increases the player’s Magick and health by 20, which is permanent as long as this card is equipped, even if they’re defeated in combat.
Unlocking The Centaur - An Arcana Card
The Centaur card, just like the Titan card, is another Arcana card that can be unlocked at the Altar of Ashes. This one is the XIII card, or the 13th card, and the player will need to grind significantly more to acquire it. To unlock it, the player needs 25 ashes and 1 cinder.
If equipped, the player will gain 3 max health and 3 max Magick every 5 locations.
