Driftwood is essential for unlocking the Fishing Pier or Shrines of Hermes on the surface in Hades 2, but it's not easy to get. To obtain this material, players will have to reach the second area on the surface. It is quite a long journey, so we are here to help you.

Where to Find Driftwood in Hades 2

The only place you can get Driftwood in Hades 2 is the Rift of Thessaly, the second surface area where you'll fight aboard an ancient ship. The good news is that, like the flowers in Erebus, you don't need any tools to collect Driftwood. This material will appear randomly within the location. It looks like a piece of wood that has fallen off a ship, and you can simply pick it up.

As for how to get to the Rift of Thessaly, take the following steps:

Unlock Permeation of Witching-Wards Incantation to get to the surface.
Die several times from a curse to learn the Fateful Bond incantation from Moros.
In the City of Ephyra, clear at least 6 points of interest and destroy spirit prisons to unlock the passage to the Polyphemus boss.
Defeat this cyclops, after which you will immediately travel to the Rift of Thessaly.

How to Use Driftwood in Hades 2

Although you must do at least four runs to accumulate enough Driftwood for all your needs, the time spent is worth it. After all, thanks to this ingredient, you can unlock the following incantations:

Rush of Fresh Air: This ritual will unlock the Shrines of Hermes on the surface.
- 3 Fate Fabric
- 1 Wool
- 2 Driftwood
Sandy Lifespring: Unlocking this incantation will provide you with access to the rest area in the Rift of Thessaly area, where you can restore health.

Rite of River-Fording: Thanks to this ritual, you will unlock the Fishing Pier near Crossroads. Here, you can fish with some NPCs, and receive a free Twin Lure.
