How to Get Garlic in Hades 2

To get Garlic in Hades 2, you need to grow it from Garlic Cloves. However, this turns out to be more difficult than it sounds, since the cloves you need cannot be found in the world of Hades. Instead, you need to go to the surface to the city of Ephyra. With the Silver Spade tool, with which you can dig up various seeds, including Garlic Cloves.

It is worth noting that the passage to the surface will be blocked for Melinoe in the early stages of the game. Therefore, you have to progress until you learn Permeation of Witching-Wards incantation. It requires quite rare resources, so collecting them may take time.

Only after Melinoe completes the Permeation of Witching-Wards incantation will players be able to visit the City of Ephyra. However, you won't be able to stay there any longer than a few rooms since, like Zagreus, Melinoe will constantly lose health there. To get rid of this curse, you will have to progress even further. But if you're lucky, you'll be able to dig up Garlic Cloves before you die.

When you finally get your hands on Garlic Cloves, all you have to do is plant them in the Crossroads. They will grow after you go through as many rooms as shown above the timer on the plant. Alternatively, you can plant Mysterious Seeds, but the chance of you being lucky enough to grow Garlic is not very high.

Using Garlic in Hades 2 is no different from other resources. You just need to interact with the cauldrons in Crossroads and choose the appropriate recipe. At present, you need Garlic for the Rite of Social Solidarity Incantation, which requires two Garlic and two Nectar. This Incantation unlocks the Crossroads Taverna where companions and Shades can rest. It also grants one Ambrosia.
