The critically acclaimed roguelike title Hades is scheduled to debut on Netflix's gaming platform on March 19. It will be available to play on iPhone and iPad via Netflix Games. In a new video posted on YouTube, Netflix revealed that pre-registration would now be available for Hades, as the game will be ready to play on iOS on March 19. The upcoming game will be free to download for Netflix subscribers. Months ago, Netflix had previously announced that Hades would be coming to Apple devices in 2024 as the title is anticipated to be a very popular addition to Netflix’s catalog of games.

Hades Will Not Be Available On Android

The streaming giant managed to expand its presence in the gaming industry in a relatively short period of time. Netflix Games enjoyed significant growth in 2023 after the Grand Theft Auto trilogy became available on the platform. Unfortunately, it seems like Hades will be the first Netflix game that will be exclusive to iOS devices. Many Android users found themselves disappointed and have expressed their discontent regarding the absence of Hades on their preferred platform. With Netflix continuously seeking to increase its gaming catalog, the addition of Hades as an iOS-exclusive game seems baffling, to say the least.

Supergiant Games is currently working on Hades 2 which is set to launch in early access in the second quarter of 2024. The upcoming title will feature a new playable protagonist in the form of the enigmatic Melinoe, sister of Zagreus and Princess of the Underworld. However, not much else is known about the long-anticipated sequel to Hades, as only one short gameplay teaser has been revealed so far.
