A passionate Halo fan recently showed off his impressive 3D printed rendition of Jerome's Mark IV helmet from Halo Wars. While the Master Chief is undoubtedly the face of the Halo franchise, the UNSC is filled with warriors who proudly wear the Spartan armor into battle against the Covenant and Banished. One such hero is Jerome-092, the leader of the Spartan 2 Red Team division and a main character of 2009's Halo Wars and its 2016 sequel.

Fans were introduced to Jerome and the rest of Red Team in the original Halo Wars, where they partnered with the crew of the UNSC warship Spirit of Fire in a battle to stop the Covenant from getting access to an ancient space fleet about two decades before the events of the original Halo: Combat Evolved. Jerome returned in 2016's Halo Wars 2 to help battle a dangerous new enemy: the Banished, who would later serve as the primary enemy group for Master Chief and his allies in Halo Infinite.

Reddit user Jar1517 recently shared his own recreation of the iconic Halo Mark IV helmet that Jerome wears in Halo Wars on r/halo. He printed the helmet from a file by Esty user Titlewave Designs using a Neptune 3 Max 3D printer and painted it for one of his Halo Fireteam partners. It is a near-perfect match for the one from the game, featuring Jerome’s signature dark green paint job and golden visor. Other Reddit users have complimented Jar1517 for his work, and his post has gained over 1.4 thousand upvotes as of this writing.

Jerome’s Helmet Comes to Life Thanks to a Fan’s 3D-Printed Replica

Jar1517 has worked on similar replicas of helmets and props from various popular media, including other replica Halo Spartan helmets. Some of his other gaming-related work, which is available to view on Jar1517’s Instagram account, includes the iconic T-51 helmet from the Fallout series and Smoke’s mouth mask from Mortal Kombat 1.

Jar1517 also does commissions for paying customers, and his recent replica of Jerome’s Spartan Mark IV helmet from the first Halo Wars is a fine example of his work. From the accurate detailing of Titlewave Design’s 3D printer file to Jar1517’s spot-on paint job, this replica version brilliantly captures the look of the headgear that drives fear into the hearts of the Spartan army’s enemies and inspires reverence in their allies throughout the long-running and highly influential Halo series.
