Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home was originally a mobile game that later became available on PC and Consoles. This version is called Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home Special Edition. All Marriage Candidates In Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home
There used to be eight marriage candidates in HM HSH, but two more characters, Ella and Nikolai, were added with the release of the Special Edition version. Farmers can ask their desired companion to get married after Chapter 9. Additionally, make sure to give the candidates their favorite gifts and speak with them daily to increase the musical notes' affection.
Christina/Justin
- Birthday: Spring 24
- Favorite Gift: Strawberry Pansy, Edelweiss, Mushroom Stew
If you choose to start as Christina, Justin will be the one that invites you back to Alba, and if you choose Justin, then Christina will do the same. Basically, they are your childhood friends who are helping you restore the valley to its former glory. They can be romanced and players can marry them at the end after increasing their musical notes' affection level. They have a bright and positive personality as they will keep pushing you to do your best and not give up.
Harriet
- Birthday: Summer 7
- Favorite Gift: Hibiscus, Aquamarine, Red Fish Sushi
Harriet is the local fisherman's daughter who is cold and rude in the beginning but can be romanced as a bachelorette. As an angler, she feels there is no need to waste time with you as, unlike the farmers, she's busy with fishing and has better things to do. After getting to know her, Harriet stops accusing you of being lazy and starts to 'tolerate' the farmers more. Eventually, Harriet lets down her guard and starts opening up to the players more with each musical note event.
Braden
- Birthday: Spring 19
- Favorite Gift: Marguerite, Hot Milk, Fruitcake
Barden is the son of the local carpenter, Andy, and seamstress, Penelope. He is also players' childhood friend and greets them warmly whenever they pass by. He struggles with carpentry and feels his skills are lacking compared to his father. This worries Barden that he won't be able to handle the job in the future. Luckily, you can encourage him and help him slowly discover his talents as farmers get to know the bachelor through his special musical note events.
Jeanne
- Birthday: Winter 7
- Favorite Gift: Clam, Agate, Milk
The shy journalist, Jeanne, has lived in Alba her entire life and will welcome you back to the valley as another childhood friend. She stumbles over her words a lot and is anxious most of the time. After helping her re-publish the daily newspaper by providing lumber for the papers, she started interviewing the farmers occasionally and mentions them in her articles. The musical note events basically strengthen your relationship with the bachelorette as Jeanne interviews more and spends time together.
Hugo
- Birthday: Autumn 26
- Favorite Gift: Lobster, Diamond, Truffles Meuniere
Hugo moved to Alba after working in a restaurant in the city and now runs a restaurant in Alba called Piemont, and it's also where he lives. At some point during Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home, the restaurant will close since there seems to be some problems with the locals. Farmers will help the bachelor re-open the business and later on taste-test Hugo's new creations as he likes to experiment with new recipes.
Malika
- Birthday: Autumn 6
- Favorite Gift: Chamomile, Opal, Ahi Poke
Malika will not appear in Alba when farmers move back into their homeland. Instead, it will take a while for the bachelorette to settle down in the village. She comes to Alba looking for a place to stay and opens up a Gift Shop. To put it simply, Malika is not used to having friends to talk to as she is on the move almost all the time. So, opening up and falling in love is not something she considers as, in her mind, she has to say goodbye eventually. Players can change her mind and encourage her to talk more about herself during the musical note events.
Jacques
- Birthday: Winter 26
- Favorite Gift: Goldfish, Tanzanite, Vichyssoise
Similar to Malika, Jacques is introduced later on in HM HSH. He is a university student that came to Alba to finish his research papers about agriculture. Being Fredrick's grandson will help him gather information much faster, so he can return home, since there is no point staying in Alba. Players can spend time with the bachelor to help get used to village life and help navigate his new life away from the city.
Ella
- Birthday: Fall 3
- Favorite Gift: Chamomile, Topaz, Raw Sapphire Gemstone
By the end of chapter 4 in Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home, Ella will move to Alba and live in a tent. She's an aspiring artist that moved into the village because she likes the vibes. While exploring every form of art, Ella can be found most of the time at Piemont restaurant as she works there part-time. She's an eccentric character that often speaks her mind and asks for too much gold in exchange for her services. Spending time with her will always lead to an adventure as you will never be bored.
Nikolai
- Birthday: Winter 22
- Favorite Gift: Morel Mushroom, Animal Medicine, Amethyst
Nikolai is a doctor that moved to Alba after hearing about the miracle Hot Spring at the end of chapter 8. He opens up a clinic that opens at 10 AM that doubles as his home. Nikolai is a very logical and straightforward person, so he's extremely honest and doesn't beat around the bushes if he wants something, like the time he asked players to get into the Hot Springs without any explanation. The doctor might come off as aloof and cold, but spending some quality time with him during his musical note events will reveal the opposite.
