Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is set in a world teaming with wildlife. Players can walk across the beaches to meet zebra, find llamas roaming the icy mountaintops, and everything in between. In order to catch some of these critters and make them tame, players will have to pet them and love them. It takes quite a few in-game days in Wind of Anthos to get one of these furry friends to follow the avatar home, but it's well worth the effort to have a tiger, sheep, ferret, or other pet to hang out with.
How to Tame Wild Animals in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos
While some animals can be purchased from animal stores in towns that can be fast-traveled to in Winds of Anthos, most animals can only be found out in the wild. In order to get the animal to trust the player's avatar enough to become tame, they will need to fill up their musical notes. If players come back to see them every day and pet and feed them, the animals will be tamed within about a week of in-game time.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos - How to Change Your Appearance
Once players are into the story of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, they can change how they look with some very big caveats.
Make sure to approach all wild animals with caution; if the avatar is running too fast, it will spook the animal. This will present as a red exclamation mark over its head. To keep it from running away, the player has to sneak over to it. Once they are close enough, players can pet the animal. Gift it food by selecting animal food from the seed bag, pressing hold, and then interacting with the animal.
Depending on the type of critter, players can get between two and three musical notes a day. Return the next day and complete the process again until the animal is tamed. Grabbing one of every type of animal in the game will earn players a Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos achievement or trophy as well, so it's well worth all the effort.
Depending on the type of animal, it will either come to live in the player's home, or it will move into the barn. All animals get the same kind of feed; this can be made in the barn or purchased from any animal vendor in any town. Feed is made from grass, weeds, or fodder corn crops in Winds of Anthos.
