All Animal Trough Locations in Heartopia (& Favorite Foods)

Once you complete the 'Animal Care' segment of the Daily Life guide as you progress the main story of Heartopia, you will be able to find and feed several species of animals littered around the map. There are eight different ones to interact with, but you'll need to locate each of their troughs (the things they eat out of) to increase the bond level to unlock new interactions and upgrades.

With this Heartopia animal trough guide, we will show you the exact locations so you don't need to spend hours running or biking around the island seeking them out yourself. Here we go!

Where to Find Bunny Trough in Heartopia

You'll actually have to find the Bunny trough as part of the tutorial once you get into animal care as part of the Town Guide. But just in case you need to find it again, it's just outside Art Street to the southwest of the central town area.

Where to Find Alpaca Trough in Heartopia

The trough for Alpacas is located just a few steps west of the bridge that connects the lighthouse area to the Purple Light Beach.

Where to Find Panda Trough in Heartopia

You can find the Panda trough to the southeast in the Jump Puzzle area.

Where to Find Fox Trough in Heartopia

If you head west to the Windmill Flower Field, you can find the Fox trough just a few steps south of the nearby bus stop.

European Perch	Found in any river during any weather/time
Largemouth Bass	Found in Forest Lake in the sun/rainbow (must be level 4)

Where to Find Sea Otter Trough in Heartopia

The Sea Otter trough is appropriately located to the south of the Fishing Village Square by the water's edge.

Common Shrimp	East Sea - All Day during any weather
Oriental Shrimp	Can be found in Rivers at any time/weather
Mussels	Found in Suburban Lake during rain or a rainbow at any time (needs to be level 3)

Where to Find Capybara Trough in Heartopia

Look for the Capybara trough a little west of the Onsen Mountain Lake. It'll be on the main yellow path.

Find the Sika Deer trough just north of the bus stop in Spirit Oak Pine Forest.

Where to Find Ferret Trough in Heartopia

If you pass over the bridge to the southwest of the Onsen region, you'll cross Rosy River. The Ferret trough will just be a few steps south of the bridge.

Sea Bass	Can be caught in the ocean during any weather/time
Goby	Can be caught in the East Sea from 6 am to 6 pm (any weather). Must be level 4 in the fishing hobby.
