Gardening is a relaxing hobby in Heartopia, where you can grow crops, harvest them, and use them for cooking. Early in your playthrough, you’ll mostly grow basic crops like tomatoes, but the more you garden, the more mastery you'll have over what comes next.
After a few days of increasing your Gardening, players will also be able to grow flowers. Heartopia even lets players crossbreed flowers, which makes gardening more interesting. That said, crossbreeding doesn’t happen easily, and it can be rather frustrating for inexperienced players. Below, we will explain how to trigger crossbreeding in Heartopia.
Where to Find Strawberries in Heartopia
Strawberries are a delicate and sweet fruit that you can find in Heartopia, and here's their exact location and what they can do.
How to Crossbreed Flowers in Heartopia
The first thing you need to do is buy Flower Seeds from Blanc once you reach Gardening Level 3. From here, you can purchase two different Flower Seeds. For example, if you've just started, you'll have access to the Red Daisy and the White Daisy seeds, which can be used to begin the crossbreeding process.
After you buy the flower seeds, plant them in your home lot. Make sure you plant different flowers next to each other. For example, plant a Red Daisy in one tile, and a White Daisy right next to it. Once they are planted, water them just like you would water your regular crops. Just keep in mind that Daisies take 18 hours to grow.
Crossbreeding flowers is luck-based. Even if you do everything right, it might not work, and you'll simply have to try again and hope for the best.
You can improve your crossbreeding chances by having friends water your flowers. The more friends who help out, the better your chances of getting a crossbreed. If you are not sure how to add friends in Heartopia, you can check out our guide for that. From what we have noticed, watering the flowers even after they’ve fully grown also seems to help. With a bit of luck, you’ll end up crossbreeding your flowers. Once you have them, you can use them to decorate your house.
