Best Ways to Make Gold in Heartopia

Go Fishing

Heartopia has seven hobbies, and fishing is the first one players will unlock. You get your fishing rod during the tutorial. Once you have it, you are free to fish as much as you like.

There are dozens of fish you can catch in Heartopia’s water bodies. Some fish only appear at certain times, in specific places, or during certain weather. As you level up your fishing hobby, you’ll also start catching rarer fish.

Complete Requests

resident requests heartopia

Another easy way to make gold in Heartopia is by completing requests. The town has many adorable residents, and they will often ask you for small favors. Helping them out rewards you with quick and easy gold, which is perfect when you are just starting the game.

For example, I completed a request from Bob at the furniture store, and it helped me earn a few thousand gold coins. If you ever want to check which requests are available, you can tap the calendar-looking icon at the top left of your screen.

Garden for Crops and Meal Ingredients

growing tomatoes heartopia

Gardening is another great way to make gold in Heartopia. Like most life sims, you can grow different crops as you progress, and selling them brings in some easy money.

Players will learn about gardening once they meet Blanc during the tutorial. He also gives you a watering can, which you will need after planting your crops.

Keep in mind that crops don’t grow instantly. They take a bit of time. For example, tomatoes need about 15 minutes to fully grow. The good thing is you don’t have to wait around doing nothing. You can go fish, complete requests, or explore the town.

Another nice thing about growing your own crops is that you don’t have to sell them right away. You can use crops in recipes instead and then sell those meals. For example, you can use tomatoes to make things like Tomato Sauce.

When you’re ready to sell, you will need to find Albert Jr., the gold merchant. Open your map, look for him, and sell him your items.
