Hell is Us is filled with a huge variety of side content that players must solve with very little help from the game itself. One of the game's key types of side-content – Mysteries – is an especially good example of this fact. Fairly early in Hell is Us, you'll encounter Jova Village in the Acasa Marshes, the game's second area, but first major map. In this guide, we'll show you how to solve the Martial Lineage Mystery, and enter the Jova Training Grounds in Hell is Us.

How to Begin the Martial Lineage Mystery in Hell is Us
Victor's Forge Training Ground Clue:
Fairly early in Hell is Us, you'll unlock the forge in Jova Village. This is accomplished by following the main quest line, and rescuing Victor Gaz from the site of the ON Convoy crash. Once he is safely back in Jova, you'll first search through the belongings in Vitalis' basement, then head over to the forge in northwestern Jova.
If you are having trouble locating the forge, look for the massive sign that is raised above the town, which is clearly an anvil symbol marking the forge's location.
Once Victor has reopened the forge, you'll enter through the front door, and one of the first things you'll see is a yellow item orb on a small work desk. Pick up the item, and you'll receive a second Lymbic Sword, as well as Note - Training Ground. The note is the key to starting the Martial Lineage Mystery.
Uncover the Training Grounds Hint:
If you read the Training Grounds note, you'll notice it mentions an "...entrance below Monument Hill," and a series of pillars that must be struck with a Lymbic weapon in counter-clockwise motion, starting from the northeast.
If you exit the forge through the back gate, and head to the edge of the patio, you can look directly to the east and see Monument Hill. It is the area with three large cuboid structures. Make your way out to the base of the hill where these monuments are located to both begin and finish the Martial Lineage Mystery.
How to Complete the Martial Lineage Training Grounds Mystery in Hell is Us
Look for the Oddly-Shaped Pillars at Monument Hill:
Once you arrive at the base of Monument Hill, head around to the northeast side, near the bottom of the eastern cuboid. There, you'll find a stone door built into the hill that leads underground, as well as four strange-looking pillars. These pillars appear to have a jar-like base, with a conical spike protruding from the top.
Use your compass to locate the northeastern pillar, then attack it with any Lymbic weapon. You'll see the pillar come alive with energy. Next, head in a counter-clockwise direction, attacking each pillar. If you start at the right location, you'll end with the pillar directly in front of the entrance to the training grounds.

Once the fourth pillar is struck, the stone door will open, and you'll now have access to the Vigil Training Grounds.
