A Helldivers 2 fan has made a custom helmet from the shooter using 3D printing, and the community is content with democracy being spread. There are several light, medium, and heavy armor sets to choose from, decorated in a variety of styles and colors, and all can be purchased through the Superstore with Super Credits.
The third-person co-op shooter is a direct sequel to the 2015 game of the same name, set in the 22nd century following the titular band of shock troops tasked with combating Terminids and Automatons. Following monumental success, Helldivers 2's game director is already thinking about Arrowhead Game Studio’s next project. Johan Pilestedt said the team was open to suggestions from fans as part of the brainstorming process for the developer’s next title. However, regular updates and content drops will still populate Helldivers 2 throughout 2025.

Posted on Reddit by Renogamer, a photo was shared on the Helldivers 2 subreddit showing the creator wearing a black, 3D-printed helmet. The fan explained they used the Bambu Lab P1S printer to create the helmet, and the piece was printed in seven parts: the top, back, mouthpiece, eyepiece, two vents, and visor. Furthermore, the creator held all the pieces together using magnets, so it’s easy to remove. There’s a litany of great armor perks in Helldivers 2, but none quite capture the added touch of custom-made magic.

Additionally, the creator noted they used files on Bambu’s Maker World website to print the finished product, and compliments flooded in, particularly about the visor. Since the visor is slightly transparent, one Redditor thought the creator used staring eyes from a popular Helldivers meme to create the same effect, but the creator confirmed it’s their eyes that are visible. Others remarked that the fan’s custom helmet was a sign of democracy spreading, riffing off of Helldiver’s 2 missions that are frequently centered around spreading democracy and fighting for it.
In addition to 3D-printing armor, the shooter’s creative community is also accustomed to making original designs, including one Helldivers 2 fan who made stunning armor concepts. The shooter found fame for its cinematic interactions between the Helldivers and enemies, and the expressionless helmets worn by the troops added to the scenes’ comical value.
