How to Level Up Fast in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 is a challenging sci-fi, third-person shooter with a dark comedic twist. Similar to its prequel, Helldivers, players must do whatever it takes to ensure that Super Earth is protected from enemy races. The game features a unique Stratagem mechanic that provides players with additional firepower or mobility to assist them in their missions.

As players level up in Helldivers 2, they’ll be able to unlock more and better Stratagems. Having high-tier Stratagems can make all the difference when players are completing missions at higher difficulty levels. While getting to level 20 to unlock all the Stratagems available can seem stressful and time-consuming, there is a way for players to farm XP quickly and level up in Helldivers 2.

How to Farm XP and Level Up Fast in Helldivers 2

The best method to grind XP so far is to complete the Bug Elimination Operation on Trivial difficulty mode. This Operation tasks players to find and eliminate the Brood Commander – a Terminid miniboss.

Players can choose to finish the Destroy Automatons Operation on Trivial as well, however, it is much easier to fight the Terminid Brood Commander compared to the Automaton Devastators. All players need to do is bring along offensive stratagems, like the Eagle Stratagem or Machine Gun Stratagem, to eliminate the target as quickly as possible.

If players are unable to access these Operations, they can try resetting their missions. To do so, simply follow the steps below;

Start a random Operation and land on the planet.
Upon landing, press Start or Escape to access the menu.
Next, select Return to Ship Alone or Abandon Mission with Squad.

Once players return to the Super Destroyer Ship, all Operations on the War Table will automatically reset.

It might take some practice, but players will surely be able to complete the mission in just a few minutes. For every 5 minutes spent completing the mission on Trivial difficulty, players will always be able to earn approximately 150 XP. While doing the same mission over and over again may get boring, this is hands-down one of the fastest ways to level up in Helldivers 2.

Setting the difficulty to Easy offers a slight increase in XP gain but also lengthens the mission duration. In fact, completing Operations on harder difficulties can yield around 500 XP every 35 to 40 minutes. The key to farming maximum XP is to complete as many missions as possible per hour.
