If you are returning from a break and wondering why the armor is not showing up in the Super Store, do not fret. The new armor can be yours in a couple of steps.

How To Get The TR-40 Golden Eagle Armor In Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 - Golde Eagle Armor Showcase — Bask in the glory of the TR-40 Gold Armor in Helldivers 2.

The TR-40 Gold Eagle armor set was released for free as part of the Escalation of Freedom update. It is neither available in the Super Store nor requires the purchase of a premium Warbond. The only thing you have to do is update your game to the latest patch. Head to the Armory on the Super Destroyer, and equip the armor.

Do note that the TR-40 Gold Eagle comprises body armor and a TR-40 Gold Eagle Helmet in Helldivers 2. While a golden cape would have been appreciated, players who own the Super Citizen Edition will find that the " Will Of The People" cape goes perfectly with the golden armor.

Those who watched the live developer stream on August 6 unlocked the TR-40 Gold Eagle armor 48 hours in advance. Your account is still eligible for the armor even if you did not catch the stream. Just log into the game.

Specifics

The TR-40 Gold Eagle is based on the default B-01 Tactical Armor in Helldivers 2. It features the same design, stats, and armor passive. The only difference is the bright, "high-visibility" color swap that lets you cut through nightly torrential rain, heavy smoke, and the dense fog of Spore Chargers in Helldivers 2, at least according to the in-game claims.

Helldivers 2 features only a handful of brightly-colored armor sets, the most popular of which were exclusive to pre-orders and Twitch drops at launch. Despite repeated requests from the community, developer Arrowhead Game Studios never added them to the Super Store rotation. The then CEO-turned-creative director Johan Pilestedt even refused to add a transmog option to let players swap color pallets. This makes the TR-40 Gold Eagle armor a special freebie for the Helldivers 2 community.
