The Force of Law is a police-themed Warbond for Helldivers 2 that offers some interesting tactical options. The idea behind this Warbond is crowd control, and that's reflected in every piece of gear you can unlock from it. However, this theme is also a point for contention, as while crowd control is nice to have, some players might prefer to have pure lethality instead.

Picking which Warbond to get with the Super Credits you earn in Helldivers 2 can be a little intimidating, especially for new players. If you're the type who buys things out of pure desire alone, then you should have no problems. However, if you want to purchase based on practical value, then here's a rundown of what you can expect from the Force of Law Warbond in particular.

Helldivers 2’s Gunslinger Armor Passive is a Godsend for Secondary Weapons

Helldivers 2's Borderline Justice Warbond is secretly a big boon for secondaries as long as players indulge in its new outlaw-themed armor sets.

How Good is the Force of Law Warbond?

Helldivers 2 Pacifier AR gameplay

If we're talking pure practical value, then Force of Law is decent, but that depends on how much you value the Stun effect. Every piece of equipment in this Warbond can stun targets, much like how the Pummeler SMG, and Stun Grenades do. Stopping a rampaging enemy in their tracks is great, but stun munitions tend to do less damage than usual, making Force of Law weapons less lethal than other options. Here's a breakdown of each major piece of equipment in this Warbond.

AR-32 Pacifier

Helldivers 2 - Force of Law Warbond trailer Pacifier AR
  • Damage: 50 (Medium Penetration Stun Rounds)
  • Magazine: 40
  • RPM: 700

The Pacifier is a great addition to the arsenal. While it has the lowest damage among all the assault rifles, it makes up for that with its medium-pen stun bullets and high rate of fire. It can stun targets faster than the Liberator Concussive and Pummeler, and its damage output through sheer volume of fire is nothing to scoff at either.

This assault rifle is great against all but the heaviest of enemies, but its performance is exceptional against Predator Strain Terminids thanks to its high handling, low recoil, and 40-round magazine loaded with stun rounds. However, due to its low damage-per-shot, killing targets will take more bullets than usual, which means you'll likely burn through your ammunition quickly unless you practice trigger discipline.

The De-Escalator

Helldivers 2 Force of Law PS Blog De-Escalator
  • Damage: 20 (Shell impact); 55 (Arc damage)
  • Magazine: 6
  • Fires Arc grenades

The De-Escalator is another fantastic weapon, but this time, it occupies your Support Weapon slot. This is a rotary grenade launcher that lobs Arc grenades, which means it will penetrate up to Level 7 armor. Unfortunately, the Arc damage itself is fairly low, and while it can take out Hulks in a few shots, everything else will take so much more.

If you want to bring a Support Weapon that's great for clearing large groups of chaff mixed with a few heavies, then the De-Escalator is a great pick. Just keep its slow reload speed and friendly fire tendencies in mind.

The P-92 Warrant

Helldivers 2 Warrant Pistol Trailer
  • Damage: 80 (Medium Penetration Guided Munitions)
  • Magazine: 13
  • Can fire Guided or Non-Guided rounds

While technically not part of the Force of Law Premium Warbond, the P-92 Warrant was released into the Super Store at the same time as the Warbond itself. This pistol fires gyrojet rounds, which means each bullet deals high damage and does not suffer from damage fall-off. Additionally, the Warrant can lock onto targets, making it great for dealing with fast-moving flyers.

Overall, the Warrant is a good sidearm. It feels similar to the Verdict from Polar Patriots in a way, so if you like beefy pistols that pack a punch, this gun is a great pickup.

G-109 Urchin

Helldivers 2 Urchin Grenade trailer

The Urchin is a mix between the Thermite Grenade and the Stun Grenade. It sticks to enemies, and when stuck, it emits stunning electrical pulses that lock a target in place until the grenade fizzles out. This is great on paper, but due to its non-existent area of effect, it's only really effective against one target at a time. At that point, you might as well just use a Thermite Grenade.

ARC-3 Guard Dog

Helldivers 2 Arc Guard Dog trailer

It's a Guard Dog with an Arc Thrower, and it's about as horrible as it sounds. It deals good damage, and it can stun heavy units, but due to its low range and slow rate of fire, the Arc Dog will feel lacking at times.

If you think having an auto-firing Arc Thrower flying above your head is an absolute nightmare, then you'd be right. While it is programmed to only shoot at enemies, the chain lightning bolts it fires will have no issues targeting your teammates as well. What's worse is, if you get swarmed by melee units, the Arc Dog will end up zapping you too.

Ballistic Padding Armor Perk

Helldivers 2 Corrections Officer Armor
  • Reduce Chest Damage taken by 25%
  • Reduce Explosive Damage taken by 25%
  • Prevents all damage from bleeding if chest hemorrhages.

This passive is generally good against all enemies, though you can expect mileage out of it against the Automatons since they use a lot of explosives, and they mostly aim for your chest. Ballistic Padding might just be the best defensive armor passive in the game as far as personal protection is concerned, and that's simply thanks to how versatile it is.

Like the Warrant, you don't need to get the Force of Law Warbond to get this passive. It comes with Grand Juror heavy armor set in the Super Store.

Stun Pod Booster

Helldivers 2 Stun Pods Booster

As its name suggests, this is a booster that makes Hellpods release a stunning blast upon landing. Using this is tantamount to griefing in a public lobby, but if you're with friends or a coordinated team, you can use this together with the Fire Pods booster to weaponize your Reinforcement and Supply Weapon call-ins. Other than that, avoid using this booster unless you want to get kicked from the lobby.
