Arrowhead Game Studios reveals a smashing new premium warbond for Helldivers 2 players, giving them even more destructive firepower to break through even the most difficult walls or enemies. In addition to new premium content and cosmetics, Helldivers 2 has also added some quality of life updates and new mission types for players to explore, including stealth-based Commando missions which offer a different style of experience. However, fans continue to wonder when the next major update will arrive.
While Helldivers 2 has had no shortage of post-launch content, Arrowhead slowed things way down towards the end of 2025. Helldivers 2 was rife with technical issues and frustrating problems, so the studio took a break from making content to hone in on fixing the bugs. Thankfully, solutions were applied, including one that was able to shrink the burgeoning file size for PC players, bringing Helldivers 2 back into a much better, and playable, state. With the major issues resolved, Arrowhead has started to deliver more content at a much faster cadence than before.
“Review bombing as a concept wasn't a thing”: Helldivers 2 boss says Magicka launched buggy and unoptimized, and was only review bombed years later by angry Helldivers upset with Sony
A Helldivers 2 executive shares his thoughts about "review bombings," claiming that an older game from the studio was review bombed because of Sony.
Helldivers 2 Siege Breakers Premium Warbond Details
- Release Date: February 3, 2026
Just off launching the stealthy Redacted Regiment Warbond for Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios is forging ahead with the next content release. Seemingly taking the very opposite tactical approach, Siege Breakers is all about making a loud and destructive entrance. Kicking things off with the new primary weapon called the LAS-16 Trident, an updated take on an existing weapon in the game. However, this version fires 6 laser beams in a shotgun-like fashion, doubling the amount of firepower when compared to the original. To go along with the laser shotgun, players can also take along the G/SH-39 Shield throwable that generates a barrier for blocking enemy projectiles.
While this Warbond is light on new weapons, it makes up for it by adding 3 new Stratagems to the mix. First up is the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer, a sledge that can either be used to simply smash through things or utilize an explosive charge for some extra destructive force. There's also the GL-28 Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher, allowing players to continually fire grenades at their target without having to stop and reload. Finally, players can call down the EAT-411 Leveller, a missile launcher that fires only 1, high-yield rocket.
Just like other Helldivers 2 Warbonds currently available, Siege Breakers comes with 2 armor sets to pick from. The heavy SA-8 Ram armor features plate armor and blast shields, while the SA-7 Headfirst medium armor offers a bit more speed and flexibility while still featuring high armor values. Both sets also come with the Supplementary Adrenaline passive bonus, which allows the player to regain stamina when taking damage.
Finally, the warbond also features plenty of cosmetics to allow players to further customize their Helldiver. New player banners and matching capes, Rags of the Fashionable and Wedgeful Tricorn, can be equipped, along with the Bunker BUster player title and matching patterns for the various Helldivers 2 vehicles. There's also a new emote called the Display of Braun, which can be set as a regular or victory pose.
So far, 2026 has kicked off with a lot of new content being made available to players, though there are plenty of questions that still remain over what else is on the horizon for the popular shooter. Players continue to hold out hope to see some sort of Helldivers 2 roadmap for 2026, though Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Shams Jorjani expressed that the developers are trying to find a way to reveal what's coming without spoiling the planned story beats the team has planned for later this year.
