The Solo Silo stratagem is part of the Dust Devils Warbond, added to Helldivers 2 on September 4, 2025. It can be found on the final page of the Warbond and costs 110 Metals (once page 3 is unlocked). In a Warbond that offers a variety of interesting new options for players, the Solo Silo stands out as the most powerful, while also being fairly niche in its use case.
This guide aims to tackle all aspects of this exciting new stratagem, from how it functions to the best ways to utilize it against the enemies of democracy.

How to use the Solo Silo Stratagem
The Solo Silo stratagem is categorized as a deployable blue stratagem, similar to backpack and support weapon stratagems, but it functions in a unique way. Once deployed, it embeds itself into the ground, with the tip of the missile jutting out of the silo itself, and it comes with an equippable Solo Silo Targeting Remote to direct the missile.
The Targeting Remote takes up your support stratagem slot while you're carrying it, so you aren't able to wield another support stratagem like the Machine Gun or the Quasar Cannon.
Once you have the Targeting Remote in your possession, you can use it from anywhere on the map, regardless of proximity to the silo (as long as the missile silo itself hasn't been destroyed).
Enemies will target the silo if they come across it, and it's remarkably flimsy, so you want to find an out-of-the-way location to deploy it—or simply deploy and fire it off quickly. Utilizing it in such a way can allow you to carry a regular support stratagem—swap your support for the Targeting Remote, fire it off, then pick up your support stratagem of choice. The Solo Silo is essentially disposable like an EAC, offering a single-use attack, after which you discard the Targeting Remote.
- After a three-minute cooldown, another Solo Silo stratagem can be called down for another single use.
- With the Targeting Remote equipped, simply aim at your target, fire, and the missile will launch and impact at the targeted location/unit.
If you are standing nearby the silo itself, the force of the launch will likely knock you down.
Helldivers 2: Best Weapons and Stratagems for Terminid Cave Missions
Players will need to bring specialized gear and stratagems if they want to take on the treacherous tunnels of Terminid Hive Worlds in Helldivers 2.
What Can the Solo Silo Kill / Damage?
The Solo Silo deals a significant amount of damage, being able to destroy an Automaton Factory Strider or Terminid Bile Titan from any angle and can deal significant damage against the Terminid Hive Lord. It's decidedly less effective against Illuminate, unable to kill a Harvester with its shields up (if shields are already stripped, it'll get the job done). It can, however, deal significant damage to the Illuminate Leviathan, potentially even bringing it down with a well-placed shot.
This stratagem, unfortunately, doesn't have the Demolition Force to destroy most structures in the game.
- Automatons: The Stratagem Jammer, Detector Tower, Gunship Facility, and Anti-Air Emplacements will not be damaged by the Solo Silo stratagem. It can take out Cannon Towers and Fabricators, but there are other, better tools to handle those threats. It can destroy a Factory Strider with a Stratagem Jammer on its back, which can be a huge boon against a Factory Strider Convoy.
- Terminids: On the Bug front, the Solo Silo can take out Spore Spewers, Shrieker Nests, and Bile Titan Bug Holes, as well as almost any enemy the Terminids can throw at you. The Dragonroach can be killed by the Solo Silo, but it can also survive a direct hit sometimes (likely due to its wonky hitbox). The Hive Lord will take some serious damage, but it'll survive several rounds of Solo Silo launches.
- Illuminate: Against the squids, the Solo Silo will not damage Monoliths or Cognitive Disruptors, but it can destroy Warp Ships (unit spawners).
Is the Solo Silo Stratagem Worth It?
Without an increase in Demolition Force damage to the Solo Silo stratagem, it feels most useful against Automaton Factory Striders and Terminid Bile Titans (or to take out specific Terminid structures from across the map). A well-placed Eagle 500kg Bomb can eliminate these same targets, with a second bomb available and a shorter cooldown between uses (with the right ship upgrades), but the utility of being able to target anything within visible range shouldn't be fully discounted.
An increase in Demolition Force from 40 to 50 would greatly enhance the Solo Silo's use case, becoming a valuable tool to eliminate frustrations like Stratagem Jammers or Detector Towers, but as it stands, the Solo Silo stratagem feels like an extremely niche option, something not quite on par with more effective (and free) offerings. Definitely a fun stratagem to bring along for specific uses, but not something that will be universally beneficial.
