From polar-themed armor to entirely new weapons and enemy types, each new Helldivers 2 update has brought something fresh to the table. The game is now seemingly preparing for a special event in the wake of players accomplishing their task of halting the Meridian Singularity.
Helldivers 2 Tien Kwan Has a Major Issue
A serious technical problem with the Tien Kwan planet in Helldivers 2 is frustrating players, since it was required to complete a Major Order.
The official Helldivers 2 Twitter account has invited players to spend some "unforgettable" moments at the Free Springs Retreat on Widow's Harbor and party in the light of Singularity on May 13. This comes after players managed to stop the Singularity in Helldivers 2, which served as the game's main objective over the last few weeks. However, this could very well be a tease for the game's next major update, setting up the party to really be a deadly trap. Widow's Harbor, one of Helldivers 2's many planets, rests near the Meridian Singularity, being exposed to the Illuminate if they were to strike.
Helldivers 2 Developer Teases Potential New Update
The post also states that only Helldivers who are Class A will be able to attend, but considering what may happen at the party, this could be a good thing. With this new post, it seems likely that the Illuminate will strike on May 13. This faction was added as part of Helldivers 2's Omens of Tyranny update back in December 2024, adding to the game's list of ferocious and deadly enemies. If it were just one big social media joke, Arrowhead Studios would likely not have included an actual date, further backing up theories that May 13 will be a day to watch for the Helldivers 2 community.
