Helldivers 2 has released its second update for September 2025 less than a week into the month, this time fine-tuning some of the changes that didn't make it into the first update. This hotfix for Helldivers 2 doesn't have the heft of the big content update that came before it, but it includes a couple of adjustments and fixes for weapons and stratagems that highly invested players who want to dominate the battlefield may want to take note of.
The Into the Unjust update for Helldivers 2 was released on September 2, adding in new Hive Worlds filled with randomly generated cave systems with destructible walls, taking the exploration aspect of the sci-fi shooter to new depths. The update also added in several new Terminid enemy types, both flying and tunneling, and a bigger variety of missions and challenges for players to take on.
Helldivers 2’s Into the Unjust Update is Robbing Players of Their Most OP Weapon
Helldivers 2's Into the Unjust update is days away, and while it's adding exciting features, it might also be robbing players of their best weapons.
While the Into the Unjust update included some balancing adjustments for a number of weapons in Helldivers 2, an extra weapon tweak has been made by the new hotfix. Fans of the S-11 Speargun will notice their rate of fire has increased significantly, as the time required to reload it has been reduced by one full second, and the weapon will now take 2.5 seconds to reload. This adjustment to the Speargun joins changes to a couple of throwables that were added in the last update, which included increasing the stagger strength of Stun Grenades from zero to 50, and decreasing the stagger impulse of the Urchin from 15 all the way down to zero.
There has also been an adjustment made to one Helldivers 2 stratagem that shaves about 14 percent off the time between uses. Cooldown for the MS-11 Solo Silo stratagem has been cut down from 210 seconds to 180 seconds, letting players call in hand-guided missile strikes against hives or bosses with a little more regularity. This adjustment adds to the ones already made this month to Orbital E.M.S. And Mortar E.M.S., which each saw their stagger strength increased from 10 to 50 and their stagger impulse reduced from 40 to zero.
Along with these adjustments, a number of stability upgrades have been added via the new hotfix. These include fixes for six different known crash scenarios, brightening of tunnels for players using lower graphical settings, dimming of extreme, intrusive light sometimes generated by the helipad, and ensuring a more safe and stable landing for Helldivers 2's extraction shuttle.
