After over a year of being a PS5 exclusive, Helldivers 2 is finally available for Xbox players, expanding the fight for Managed Democracy. Helldivers 2 has continued to keep players invested with its thrilling updates and strong community focus, and now with Xbox players being thrown into the mix, it will be fascinating to see what the future holds for the hit third-person shooter.
Helldivers 2 coming to Xbox isn't the only thing that fans of the game have to look forward to, though. Sony recently confirmed that Helldivers 2 will be getting a fresh update with Into the Unjust. This update puts the game's Hive Worlds front and center for the first time, and there are a few things players may want to be prepared for before jumping into the action.

Helldivers 2's Into the Unjust Update Turns the Dial Up on the Terminid Threat
Venturing Into the Gloom
The Gloom is a Terminid spore cloud that has overtaken various planets that these bugs have been using as their Hive Worlds. This thick fog is bound to make the battlefield an even more harrowing experience, as Helldivers will have to be on alert. Players will have to explore cave systems where Hive Lungs, the supposed source of this Gloom, are waiting to be destroyed. Taking on Terminids is no easy task, and the challenge is about to get kicked up a notch, because these bug-like aliens are set to get a few new variants, and they sound absolutely terrifying.
Players will also be tasked with escorting a mobile oil rig across the treacherous terrain of the Hive World.
Death From Above and Below
Helldivers won't just be taking on the usual kinds of Terminids that they are used to seeing. Into the Unjust introduces new types of Warriors, Bile Spewers, and Chargers that burrow underground when they sense a threat nearby. From beneath the surface, these subterranean variants will quickly move towards their prey, and that's a terrifying thought. This is merely the tip of the iceberg, though.
The Into the Unjust update also marks the arrival of the Dragonroach. This variant is literally a dragon-like flying Terminid that spews "burning bile" down onto the planet from above. The official announcement for the update states, "Our reports indicate that there are even greater, more terrifying creatures lying in wait on Hive Worlds," which hints that the Dragonroach is just a small taste of what other horrors await Helldivers 2 players.

Two days after the launch of Into the Unjust, players will get the chance to deck out their soldier with a brand-new Premium Warbond. Between Dust Devils and Helldivers 2's thrilling Halo 3: ODST Legendary Warbond, it's shaping up to be an exciting time to be a Helldivers 2 fan.

Now that Helldivers 2 has expanded its reach to Xbox players, it will be interesting to see how the game's first year on a fresh console will go.
