In a recent interaction with a Helldivers 2 player, the CEO of Arrowhead suggested that a social hub similar to The Tower from Destiny 2 could be in the works for Helldivers 3 at some point in the future . Helldivers 2 was originally released on February 8, 2024, and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Social hubs have become a popular feature in many online games, as they allow large groups of players to come together and interact in unique ways. For instance, The Tower of Destiny 2 gives players a reprieve from the game's darker tones and stories, allowing them to come together in a casual environment. With the help of emotes, players can do things like put on a trombone concert in Destiny 2 or simply hang out and chat while in between missions. Earlier in 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds introduced a new social hub filled with activities for players to engage in, allowing the community to come together like never before.
Helldivers 3 Could Feature a Social Hub
In a recent post on Discord, a Helldivers 2 fan suggested that they would really like to see a space station that acts like something of a social hub, much like The Tower in Destiny 2. In a response, the CEO of Arrowhead, Shams Jorjani, stated: "it's on the feature list for the next one." While this may be encouraging news for fans of the franchise, it's difficult to predict when players may actually be able to get their hands on Helldivers 3. In another post on Discord from earlier in 2025, Jorjani suggested that Helldivers 3 could be "many years away," as the developers intend to continue supporting Helldivers 2 for quite some time. So, it could be quite a while before players are able to run around and socialize with one another outside of small parties.
While Arrowhead may not have plans to bring a social hub to Helldivers 2, the developer is focused on bringing a steady stream of content to gamers currently playing the title. The popular third-person shooter recently expanded its reach by making its debut on Xbox Series X/S. Shortly after release on the new platform, Helldivers 2 soared to number one spot on Xbox's Top Paid sales chart, making it a major hit.
Helldivers 2 also recently released its Into the Unjust update, which added Hive Worlds to the game. These new Terminid-infested worlds feature intricate cave networks that completely change the rhythm of the game. Before going into the caves, players need to consider their loadout, as they likely won't have regular access to their stratagems. It's an interesting twist that has shaken up the regular flow of gameplay. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many players are feeling optimistic about the future of the Helldivers franchise.
