Players who have completed or are on the way to finishing High on Life may want to revisit world areas such as the Slums, where they can find and open 26 hidden luglox chests that they may have previously missed. Some of these chests in the Slums are only accessible when players get the jetpack, and players may also find the mag boots handy for tracking down luglox chests in other world areas.
Finding and opening these monstrous chests in High on Life is worthwhile, as many contain goodies like pesos that players can spend on items like weapon upgrades in Mr. Keep's Pawn Shop. There are 5 sub-locations that make up the slum area where players can track down and open luglox chests: the Shanty Town, Laundromat District, Torg Territory, Sludge Works, and Uptown.
Luglox Chests - Shanty District
The Shanty District is the first sub-region of the Slums players encounter, and there are 5 luglox chests hidden in total in the area:
- Inside the mouth of the giant head below the Shanty District entrance. Jump on top of the head and land on its nose, where players can tether inside its eye socket using Knifey. The chest is inside at the bottom, and players can tether to climb back out.
- On a platform in the slime near the muddy shoreline to the right of the Shanty District. Press the red button by the shack on the right side of the beach area. The light turns green and creates a zipline that players can tether across to get to the 1st platform. Use Kenny's glob shot weapon ability to shoot the platform floor to launch to the 2nd platform where the chest is. Press the 2nd button to zipline back to the shoreline.
- At the base of the wooden stairs behind a barbed-wire fence. Players can easily reach this chest along the left side of the docks.
- Under the bridge by the docks where players use the glob shot to make a bridge.
- Under a pipe by the group of walled signs with the red and white arrow, close to the teleporter that's positioned opposite the Sludge Works building.
Luglox Chests - Laundromat District
There are 7 luglox chests in the Laundromat District hidden as follows:
- On top of the roof of the building where players first cross the bridge to enter the Laundromat District. Climb to the top of the circular room where players obtain Knifey and use the insect to tether up to the building or carefully traverse the brightly colored pipes. The chest is located inside a shipping container at the top.
- Around the corner of the platform where players first jump across the slime using a floating platform, close to the Laundromat District entrance.
- Inside the Bubble buds Laundromat building in the corner on the right.
- Under the purple and white sign where players tether across the gap using an insect, just opposite the Laundromat and next to the bridge.
- On a ledge above the floating platform in the slime, when an NPC shouts about treasure. Look up to see a green NPC alien standing on a ledge. Tether across to get the chest.
- Under the circular building where players get Knifey. Stand on top of the building and carefully drop onto the silver pipe below, pressing down on the D-pad to crouch under the gap and find the chest inside.
- Inside the highest building close to the Uptown sign. Players can tether and climb so far but need the jet pack to reach the chest.
Luglox Chests - Torg Territory
There are 2 luglox chests in the Torg Territory discoverable as follows:
- On the ledge at the bottom of the 2nd, small zipline and obtainable by jumping onto the ledge or tethering the zipline.
- On top of the building to the right by tethering.
Luglox Chests - Sludge Works
There is only 1 luglox chest in the Sludge Works region located at the top of the 9-torg boss battle area, opposite the escape tunnel. Players need to tether across using Knifey to reach the ledge and can return to the area as needed by traveling back up the tunnel using the zipline.
Luglox Chests - Uptown
Once players get the jet pack, they can reach the Uptown area of the slums to find and open the remaining 11 luglox chest s as follows:
- Deep inside the pipe close to the Uptown entrance.
- On top of the tall building near the bridge by Uptown's entrance. Players can use the jet pack or the mag boots to climb the nearby wall and tether across the zipline to reach the chest.
- On the small beach area below the walkway next to the Space Applebee's building.
- Above the Space Applebee's sign.
- Behind the billboards on top of the Space Applebee's building.
- Inside an archway on a balcony area opposite Space Applebee's.
- Under the pier.
- On top of the building on the docks.
- On top of the blue alien-shaped building.
- Down a small side street next to Space Applebee's.
- Next to the green alien NPCby some boxes below the energy bridge, close to the High on Life store that players visit later in the game.
