In High on Life, there are many hidden luglox chests for players to find and open, giving them rewards like pesos, weapon upgrades, items, and collectibles. Discovering luglox chests is one of many things players can do after beating the game, and players need to find them all to unlock the Luglox Genocide Achievement.

The Outskirts region belongs to the Port Terrene world location and is the dusty, sand-worm-ridden area of High on Life that surrounds Old Town, which players can portal to using the Bounty 5000 machine in the house. There are 16 hidden luglox chests in total to find in the Outskirts, and players will need to search all corners of the region to locate them all. Fortunately, they are all relatively easily obtainable in the 4 Outskirts regions: Out-Outskirts, Sandworm Territory, GMS Wreckage, and the Unidentified Wreckage.

The Out-Outskirts

When players portal into the Outskirts using the Bounty 3000, they arrive in the humorously named Out-Outskirts region where there is only one luglox chest. Take the left path in front of the portal and head inside the small, circular wreckage to the left of the gatterall stack by a rock. The luglox chest is at the back of the construction.

The Out-Outskirts is one of the areas where the hilarious sandworms spawn in a nod to movies like Tremors. Players are safe from sandworms when standing on landmarks like rocks or scaffold structures, but can be caught by a sandworm in the sandstorm areas, where one of the Gatlian talking weapons will utter a warning. If caught, the sandworm depletes a bit of the player's shield before they respawn nearby.

The GMS Schlooper Wreck

The GMS Schlooper Wreck is a destroyed spaceship grounded in the middle of the Outskirts area and is densely populated with 11 luglox chests to find in, on, and around the main wreckage. There are 6 luglox chests inside the GMS Schlooper Wreck as follows:

  • Under a large rock in front of the GMS Schlooper Wreck.
  • On the left inside one of the wreck side entrances at the base of the Wreck.
  • On the large, middle platform on the left side of the wreckage, accessible by tethering onto a Hook Bug.
  • On a small middle platform on the opposite, right side of the Wreck that players can use the jetpack to reach.
  • On top of the Wreck on the left side of the wreck next to a folding chair. Players can reach this by jumping and jetpacking up the front of the ship, using the mag boots platforms to reach the top, or can carefully jetpack up the side wires that lead to the top.
  • On top of a ledge at the back of the Wreck.

There are 2 luglox chests in the Sand Worm Territory, located on either side of the GMS Schlooper Wreckage:

  • On a scaffold platform by a tall aerial construction, just beyond the back of the GMS Schlooper Wreck, which players can reach by tethering the nearby zip lines using Knifey.
  • By an arch-shaped construction by tethering beyond the front end of the Schlooper Wreckage. Players need to head into the sand storm by tethering the platforms and onto the Hook Bug in front of the arch to reach the luglox chest.

Unidentified Wreckage

On the left side of the Outskirts, as players tether across the area, they can find another grounded spaceship area called the Unidentified Wreckage. There are 2 luglox chests in the area as follows:

  • Use the mag boots, Manny's Glob Shot, and Knifey's tethering to traverse across the toxic slime pools to reach the hovering Hook Bugs flying above a deep hole in the Unidentified Wreckage. Tether to the bottom of the hole to reach a small ledge holding a yellow luglox chest.
  • Head outside the Unidentified Wreckage and run across the surrounding cliff's edge at the furthest point to find the final luglox chest on top of a platform in a sandstorm at the perimeter's edge closest to Sand Worm Territory.
