With a release date rapidly approaching and still no major information from developer Wildlight Entertainment, Highguard had its full trophy list leaked, with some of the descriptions also revealing new gameplay-related details. It's a strange time for Highguard, which is nearing its launch date, a time when fans should be feeling excited alongside a developer that is actively getting people hyped to play. Oddly enough, none of that is really happening at the moment, with most starting to doubt if Highguard is even going to come out at all.

Highguard was The Game Awards final reveal for its 2025 showcase, even managing to avoid leaking prior to the show. Coming from former Titanfall and Apex Legends developers, Highguard's trailer appears to be an online FPS, where players take up arms as different heroes or classes, each with their own abilities. Players attempt to defend their base while attacking the enemy stronghold, claiming weapons like the Shieldbreaker to storm the gates and claim victory. While the announcement left many a little underwhelmed, the confusion from fans has largely been met with total silence.

Highguard fell off my radar as fast as it came onto it, but recent events have just encouraged me to check it out for myself.

Highguard Leaked Trophy List

What's surprising, then, is that just days from a global launch on January 26, Highguard's developer, Wildlight Entertainment, remains silent. It's YouTube channel still only has the one Game Awards trailer and the social media account remains dormant. With such little to go on, most curious fans assumed that a delay could be happening, as shadow-dropping a game like Apex Legends isn't really possible considering it was revealed already with a launch date attached.

Without official sources releasing new information, leaks have started to fill in the gaps, with the latest revealing all 33 PlayStation Trophies that are available to earn at launch. Initially reported by Exophase, some of the trophy descriptions even reveal more information about Highguard including the various Warden classes of Recon, Support, Assault, Destruction, and Defensive. There's even a weapon called the BigRig LMG that can be acquired, and based on a trophy that's awarded for destroying 3 iron walls with it, the gun sounds like something that will be worth getting to do serious damage to enemy forces.

The lack of communication regarding Highguard isn't the only bizarre news to come out about the game. A new report sheds light on the fact that Wildlight Entertainment didn't pay to have Highguard in The Game Awards. While the report is still unconfirmed by official sources, the final spot in The Game Awards is typically highly coveted and held for major industry reveals, so many have assumed that the show's creator, Geoff Keighley, loved the game so much that the final spot in the show was offered. It's also possible that the final reveal was for a different game that possibly fell through at the last minute, causing Keighley to pivot to Highguard instead. Either way, there are still a ton of questions surrounding Highguard and with only days left before it releases, those answers may not come in time.
