One of the assassination challenges in Hitman World of Assassination's Hokkaido requires players to get the chief surgeon to kill Erich Soders "by accident". Gamers can disguise themselves as the chief surgeon and botch the surgery on purpose to get the Malpractice, but believe it or not, this is actually simpler than convincing the surgeon to do it. If they're able to pull it off, they will complete the (Not) Malpractice challenge.
Hitman: How to Get Remote Explosives in Whittleton Creek
Remote explosives can be quite helpful in Hitman's Whittleton Creek missions - here's where to find them.
This guide helps players through the (Not) Malpractice challenge in Hitman, and it features a detailed description of the various steps that they must take in order to complete this assassination challenge.
How to Get the Chief Surgeon to Kill Erich Soders in Hokkaido
The chief surgeon won't simply decide to botch surgery he's scheduled to perform on Erich Soders; players must intervene and show him that he is an evil man and had the chief surgeon's father killed by getting ahold of his kill list and sharing it through the hospital's AI system, KAI. This revelation, mixed with his chaotic pill addiction, will result in Erich Soders's seemingly accidental death on the operating table.
Here are the various steps players must follow in order to complete the (Not) Malpractice challenge in Hitman:
- Get a Bodyguard disguise
- Get into Yuki's Room
- Grab Erich's kill list
- Get a Surgeon disguise
- Upload the kill list into KAI
- Get a Helicopter Pilot disguise
- Meet the chief surgeon and give him his drugs
- Wait for the surgery to go wrong
Below, players can learn how to complete each of these steps:
How to Get Erich Soders's Kill List in Hokkaido
The fastest way to get a Bodyguard disguise on the Hokkaido map in Hitman World of Assassination is to head to the Cable Line area (Level 0), push one of the bodyguards off the ledge, and quickly knock out the other one. Then, gamers can quickly take his clothes and leave or dump the body.
Disguised as Bodyguards, players won't have any trouble entering Yuki's Room (Level 0). If they're fast enough, she and her bodyguards may still be in the room, so they'll want to wait for her to leave before going to the desk in her bedroom to snatch the kill list.
How to Get a Surgeon Disguise in Hokkaido
Most surgeons on the map are in restricted areas where players won't be able to get into, even with the Bodyguard disguise. Therefore, the easiest way to get a Surgeon disguise in Hokkaido - if players haven't already mastered the level and have access to it from the get-go - is to go to the Rehabilitation Supervisor room (Level 3) and knock out the surgeon that has a scheduled appointment with Jason Portman.
There is a guard in the room, but as soon as Portman arrives, he will leave. After the appointment, there will be a short window of time where players can enter the room and take down the surgeon without drawing attention to themselves.
How to Get the Surgery to Go Wrong in Hokkaido
Once players have disguised themselves as surgeons, they can get into the room attached to Robot Surgery Control (Level 2) and upload the kill list. As soon as the chief surgeon becomes aware of Erich's victims, he will become enraged and look for a fix.
Players must then head to the Helipad area (Level 2), go down the stairs around the helicopter, and take out the pilot to get his disguise. It might also be best to take out the gardener who roams around the area beforehand.
Once done, players must head back up the stairs and wait for the chief surgeon to arrive - it can take a couple of minutes. Then, they must lead him to the helicopter pilot's stash down below. Players have to let him consume the drugs, as they will alter him greatly and cause the disruption that leads to the death of Erich Soders.
