A Hogwarts Legacy player has discovered that the NPC named Fastidio speaks to players differently depending on their house. Like the rest of the Harry Potter franchise, Hogwarts Legacy students are sorted into one of the four school houses, and the choice causes a few key differences.

Since Hogwarts Legacy was released, it has reached incredible sales milestones and has been experienced by millions of players. Despite releasing on every major console, PlayStation had exclusivity to some content until the Summer update. Part of the Summer update includes a quest formerly exclusive to PlayStation called Minding Your Own Business. In this quest, players will encounter a poltergeist while exploring the Hogsmeade underground. One gamer has spotted a key detail involving Fastidio, a character found during this quest, and his house-specific voice lines.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Already Has the Perfect Release Date

While the year of Hogwarts Legacy 2’s release may be under speculation, the date of the game’s release could be an Occam’s razor situation.

Reddit user Ephemerasnape recently shared a Hogwarts Legacy clip focusing on the Hogsmeade poltergeist known as Fastidio. During the Minding Your Own Business quest, players will encounter Fastidio in a vacant Hogsmeade shop after exploring some areas underneath it. Gamers can initiate this quest by speaking to Penny the House Elf, who sends them to a character named Cassandra Mason. Cassandra will sell players the vacant Hogsmeade store for 1,500 Hogwarts Legacy Galleons. Once the player acquires this store, they will explore a vast network of rooms underneath and a subsequent battle with Fastidio. Throughout the quest, Fastidio will say different things in a different tone depending on which Hogwarts house a student belongs to.

This Fastidio Dialogue in Hogwarts Legacy Is House-Specific

  • Gryffindor: "Oh goody, someone to play with. You seem a brave sort, what fun this will be!"
  • Hufflepuff: "Oh goody, someone to play with. I sense you're not ruffled by hard work. So determined a guest will be wonderfully fun!"
  • Ravenclaw: "Oh goody, someone to play with. You seem to have your wits about you. What fun this will be!"
  • Slytherin: "Oh goody, someone to play with. You seem a cunning sort. What fun this will be!"

Because students are sorted into four different Hogwarts School houses based on aspects of their personality, Fastidio seems to be appealing to specific character traits. Students from Hufflepuff are known for loyalty and patience, Gryffindor are typically brave and determined, Slytherin are ambitious and resourceful, and Ravenclaw are intelligent and witty. While Fastidio notably gives credit to aspects of each house's personality, the end of the Ravenclaw voice line is particularly jarring. This subtle change in the Hogwarts Legacy experience dependent on which house a player is in shows the replay value of playing through the game in each house.

As some players still haven't returned since Hogwarts Legacy's Summer update, there may still be some hidden details to discover. Because Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, the first title may not get more patches as hefty as the Summer one.
