Like its source material, the sorting hat ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy is the event that decides which of the four houses in Hogwarts first-year students get placed in and stay for the rest of their time receiving an education in the magical school. While most students automatically get sorted into a house of the hat's choosing based on their personalities, the game allows players to choose where their character gets to stay for the rest of the game.
While it's supposed to be a big moment for everyone involved, Reddit user irrelevantreference1's experience is somewhat spoiled when after deciding on their house, their robe begins to clip through the protagonist as its color changes to reflect what they chose. According to the post's title on Reddit, the glitch had been the only one experienced within the first 10 hours of playing the game, testifying to Hogwarts Legacy's overall polish, but the timing of when the glitch happened is unfortunate.
The scene is still funny to watch, and responses have reflected this, with several comments declaring that the clip did not capture a glitch, but rather it was simply another part of the magic.
