Hogwarts Legacy is bringing back Merlin's Cloak, but players only have a limited time to add it to their collection. Twitch Drops are a popular way for game companies to dole out exclusive rewards to fans, rewarding those who tune in to their streams. In the case of Hogwarts Legacy, Avalanche Software has given fans a couple of different chances to get their hands on the Merlin's Cloak through Twitch.
These opportunities happened right before Hogwarts Legacy's original launch and shortly after the game was released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, there were many Hogwarts Legacy players who missed out on getting Merlin's Cloak for their in-game wardrobe. Luckily, anyone that missed out on getting Merlin's Cloak before will now have another chance to snag it, as long as they tune in to the correct Twitch stream.
Avalanche will be playing Hogwarts Legacy during the Legacy Live livestream event on May 5 at 9am PT. Anyone that tunes in to this latest Hogwarts Legacy livestream and watches for at least 20 minutes can get Merlin's Cloak as a reward. Merlin's Cloak is a Legendary-tier item, so it should help get new Hogwarts Legacy players off on the right foot.

There should be plenty of brand-new Hogwarts Legacy players checking out the open world Harry Potter game this weekend. Hogwarts Legacy is finally making its way to PS4 and Xbox One after multiple delays, opening the door for potentially millions of Harry Potter fans to finally try out the game. Even after Hogwarts Legacy releases on PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, though, its journey is far from over.
A Nintendo Switch port of Hogwarts Legacy will be coming hot off the heels of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Right now, the Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy is pegged for a July 25 release date, but it too has seen its fair share of delays and so fans may want to taper expectations until the game is actually in their hands. It's unclear if another opportunity to get Merlin's Cloak will come about when the Nintendo Switch version of the game comes out or not, so anyone interested should make sure to tune in to the livestream on May 5.
