As Avalanche Software works on important fixes for its recently released Hogwarts Legacy, PC, and Xbox players can expect improved performance with a new patch. Given how fresh Hogwarts Legacy is, players have come across multiple issues with the game that weren't caught during the development process, but developers are already rectifying some problems. With some Hogwarts Legacy players on PC and Xbox sharing their negative experiences with Avalanche Software, developers have already confirmed a patch that's coming very soon. While the launch version of Hogwarts Legacy continues to get improved with updates like this, the action-RPG may get a roadmap for future content drops to look out for as well. Given the early success of Hogwarts Legacy on Steam and Xbox, it's likely that many players on the two platforms have spotted some questionable moments, with a handful of these getting reported to Avalanche Software. Avalanche Community Manager Chandler Wood recently posted a relevant update concerning the performance of Hogwarts Legacy on PC and Xbox to his Twitter account. Wood stated that PC and Xbox Series X will see increases in performance with an update dropping today that will also address multiple bugs, meaning it may take a few minutes to download. While Wood confirmed that these two platforms will be getting the aforementioned patch today that will make the game run even smoother, PS5 owners are left waiting for less than a week for the fixes.
Neglecting to confirm a specific date for the same adjustments on PS5, Chandler Wood stated that Hogwarts Legacy will get the performance boosts on the Sony platform in "a few days." Though the Community Manager didn't get into the details of what would be part of the PC or Xbox Series X patch, he confirmed that the issue plaguing the Hogwarts Legacy collectors edition trophy will also be rectified with this week's update. While Wood confirmed that Avalanche Software is looking to push the Hogwarts Legacy PS5 patch later this week, the lack of specifics may suggest that the process could be prolonged a bit further.
Hogwarts Legacy was officially launched for the aforementioned platforms on February 10 and Avalanche Software has already received a plethora of fan feedback to implement in future updates. Because Hogwarts Legacy was delayed, and some editions still remain in development, the action-RPG may need similar responses when it arrives on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Hogwarts Legacy is available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and is scheduled to release for PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, and Nintendo Switch on July 25.
